Easier to pick up KVH who is out of work then make a deal with someone.

If there is no ligament damage (tears), then 1-2 weeks.

no word, yet? it typically doesn't take this long to get an injury update.

regardless of the extent of the injury, we'll definitely miss his presence against the spurs.

Funny how on Friday, Richard Jefferson landed on Shaq's foot and got a negative on the ankle. Carter got his hand hurt when making contact with shaq. now Hayes  wow..

KVH has stated repeatedly that he is not playing at all this year, he is not available. check your info.

actually i heard a report where he said he will stay in shape and hope to get signed before all-star break. if he isn't signed by then, he will call it a career.

well only time will tell what his story is, i guess.

either way he wouldn't help replace chuck hayes. i'd rather give the PT to novak instead of KVH.

we would need to find an extra rebounder/defender/hustle guy.

He could hardly move, did anyone else think that looked scary. It was like he was paralyzed from the ankles up. I'm hoping he just got jarred pretty good and probably bruised his shoulder at the very least. He kind of reminds me of Haslem(without the jumper) except I think he is better in all other categories. Also, last year Haslem had that hurt shoulder but still played against Dirk and did a heck of a job. They are both really tough and they know how to win.

[790 am] Chuck Hayes out at least 2 weeks

MRI and X-Rays performed today on Chuck Hayes showed no further damage on his left knee but showed a hyper extending knee and he will miss at least 2 weeks. After the two weeks, they team physician, Dr. Tom Clanton will reevaluate him. I guess this good news that he will only miss 2 weeks but Rockets really don't have anybody else who is a real power forward with games coming up versus Tim Duncan and Ben Wallace. Juwan is too soft and Padgett is a true PF.

I guess we'll find out how much depth we have. If we're really a great team, we shouldn't miss a beat.

This is a real test for us to see how good we are. A good team should be fine with a few injuries

not good news at all, but it could have been definitely worse. this will probably mean extended minutes for battier at the 4, more juwan and snyder off the bench. and if jvg allows it, bonzi to come in and play.

hopefully he is fine after two weeks. hayes has worked too hard to get where he is at today and deserves all the pt he can handle

It could have been much worse. At least this happened early in the season ... a good time to try out some other combinations.
