Damn, does this kid look like TMac. He's got a physical resemblance and their games are similar down to their perceived ability to play PG. Diamond in the rough so he's a gamble so I'll leave it to Morey to decide if he's worth it.
I think he will be the best SG out of this draft, he might even end up being the best out player out of this draft, I highly doubt he gets past the Grizz and Hornets.
I dont care what you say, I want a long, tall shotblocking center to backup Yao. Bring on Whiteside...
I don't see Whiteside as not being a hard worker or a head case. If anything he seems tentative, but that's just in interviews (and honestly, a 19 year old kid with a camera in his face, so what if he doesn't have the eloquence of Battier). He could be fearless on the court. He seems like a nice guy who wants to do the right thing and is anxious for guidance. He will flourish around mature winners like Battier, Scola, Yao.
"George has been getting a lot of buzz, projecting as a 6-9 shooting guard. But against poor competition this season, George was invisible during stretches. He's also inconsistent with his decision making. In transition, he is impressive but in the half court he takes a lot of bad shots and gets into trouble with some questionable drives. If a team takes him in the lottery it will be passing on better players. " Sounds exactly like T-Mac LOL.
I'm hoping Ed Davis will be available at 14. I didn't get to watch alot of him in college, but I've watched some clips and while he looks very raw, he looks like he could be a pretty legit pf in a few years.
