Where have you heard that Deke isn't expected back next season? Everything I've read says the exact opposite.

Me too, Deke will be around. At least that's what I'm hoping.

    Several questions -

    1. Does he bust his a$$ in practice?
    2. Does he have have the talent?
    and
    3. How long does the man have to stay sober before you trust him again?

In my view, pf on this team has 3 things to do - 1) keep heat off yao, 2) wipe the glass and 3) make defenders pay for leaving him / switching off. Can VB do this? I expect that if he can, and you can trust him, he will eventually play...

Instead of using this as a way to try and be funny and take potshots at him I'm going to say I'm pretty impressed with his outlook. The guy can play, that's not in question. He has to regain some of his form, which he is capable of doing. I don't see how it could hurt to give him some playing time and see what he has left. He might surprise.

That's what I admire about you solid: your boundless capacity for optimism. :)

As for me, I am of the opinion that his time has long since come and gone. What you see of Baker now is exactly what you get - no more and no less. Pity too, because once upon a time he really did have skillz.

Asked how long he has remained sober, Baker said: "One day. I don't count. We learn that every day you start over."

No, I think it really was one day. What a f'n waste of talent. This guy's a washed up piece of crap and will be on the injured list when Sura comes back. If Mo Taylor couldn't crack the rotation, there's not a snowball's chance in hell that Vin Baker will even sniff it. The only thing he's worth right now is that expiring contract he's sitting on.

He without sin feel free to cast the first stone.

Guess you missed him in Beantown before he fell off the wagon. I mean "damn" the guy could play, and considering that is our weakest position, I don't understand why no one wants to give him a chance - after all he was an all-star, and considering what Griffin was doing in Minnesota before he got injured - you'd think we'd be in favor of giving someone a second chance.
