Let the Dwight mare begin... Season hasn't even started and people are complaining already. Coaches are complaining, things to work out but a good coach like Phil would've known how to handle things like this since day one. Like I said, I think the key thing that's going to destroy the Rockets chances of going far in the postseason will be McHale and his critical decisions and managing egos. Let garden iso and Dwight not happy, Dwight iso team not happy, this is why the Clippers will be a tough team because they got a tough coach. Doc rivers wouldve run Dwight and Harden to the floor but set everyone straight.

It's not even Day One. It's friggin' preseason!

But let's just name drop the all time greatest coach Phil Jackson and how he would have had this team in championship shape mid training camp, why not? Why not throw Doc Rivers in there too? It's not like you'll actually have to prove statements like that because there's really no way of doing that, is there?

From what I've seen from the games so far is that we've already managed to find a good balance between pace and Howard post ups.

Yeah passing to the post was rough against Orlando but Harden has generally been solid with his passes to Dwight and Lin and Parsons didn't even play. 70%- 80% of passes to Dwight in the post are gonna come from those 3 guys.

Also Dwight's not a psychopath in a strait-jacket. He wouldn't have made it to an NBA finals series with a bat-**** crazy temperament... you need some basic level of maturity for that. He also knows that he didn't join the Heat- he joined a young team. People were getting him the ball even when Hibbert kept shutting down his post ups- he's not been perfect there too and he knows it.

Not sure I get this right. He is averaging only 10 FGA per game so far, and you think he missed them way too often?

Missing more than 1 of those game is inexcusable, honestly. Don't care if he gets 10 FGA, 8 of which are bunnies and he connects on only 5 of them. That needs to be 7 at the WORST. 10 FGA is misleading cause it looks like he isn't getting enough touches, which he isn't right now, but he also turns it over a lot and gets fouled a lot.

He still has NO touch inside. NONE.

There's no way we can have confidence in him operating 1 on 1 against the top tier teams that would play him straight up.

    preseason game what 3?

    umm calm down.

Also we have a better team than the garbage dwight had in LA.

We dont NEED him for offense since we have a good offense. He just enhances it. This is not about dump down to dwight all day. Thats not our game and thats not dwights game. We had a good offense before he got here. If we play our cards right we should be able to be even better at offense with dwight. Which is really scary. Im already loving alot of the easy buckets we are getting.

People expecting big numbers from dwight offensively are missing the team concept here as well. We need dwight to play the D he can play.. and we need him to be a force inside that can get his touches in flow of game. Everyone needs to chill out on dwight and negative about offense. its annoying considering he has had some nice offensive stretches in the few games he has played with new team. When drexler came to htown from portland it took about 20 games for him to start meshing with olajuwon. For us its been a few preseason games in an in a foreign country no less. Without asik too. calm the f down.

It actually took quite awhile for Yao and TMac to really try and find their niche when they were playing together. At the beginning, before they got injured, one of them seemed to defer to the other, until they finally decided to play their own way together. It also took awhile for Yao's teammates to learn how to pass the ball into the post for him. Obviously, Shane Battier was by far the best at it, but still it took some time. Even then, it was difficult when one defender fronted Yao and the other defender was behind. I don't think you can do that to these Rockets, we have a lot more weapons on this team than that Rockets team. That said, it will take time, but Dwight will help this team a lot! Just by having him on the team, he will dramatically change our defense and our offense. If Dwight does not have one of his best years offensively, I guarantee you that Harden will!

I agree that we don't need DH for the offense, he just makes it a bit better. What we get from him is 48 min of interior defense because now we have 2 top 10 centers in the league. Last year it was Jeremy Lin or James Harden need to be on the court. This is because our offense is great, and our defense is great when Asik is in, but once JH, Asik, and Harden sits, our defense drop and the opponent just goes on a crazy run. But with Dwight, we have a real luxury of 48 minutes of mean machine defense.
