Awesome. That's the exact play I was talking about. I guess my memory is still pretty good after all these years. Too bad that video didn't have Bill and Calvin because if I remember right, Calvin pretty much went into a total conniption fit. Repped nonetheless.
I remember that play too, and I actually had the EXACT same experience as you. I was 12 years old, and SOOO excited to watch Clyde play. Me and my dad actually used to mute the TV and listen to Gene and Jim during games, and Gene went ballistic too. Me and my dad were clapping and yelling as if we had won the championship. It's actually these types of memories that make me remember WHY I love the Rockets as much as I do. Even though the current state of the team is a little disappointing, looking back on the good times makes me feel optimistic that we will get there again one day.
People seem to forget that we had to get to Clutch City 1 first before Clutch City 2. I believe if we didn't get OT, Dream would have left Houston. Getting OT was the solid front court player we needed since Ralph left. Plus OT was a great defender, look at how bad Karl Malone abused us after OT left. Let's not forget OT made the all star game too.
