Glad they did this, hopefully this time things will change. I really hope Harden understands though that by team, that also means him. Glad Parsons mentioned not getting down on each other, we've seen it happen too often. I also hope McHale will realise he cannot just get down on a few, his stars should not be exempt from a good talking to.

Was this before or after Harden went to the strip club (kidding, I'm kidding)

I think it's implied with the effort part. We aren't having so many problems scoring the ball.

    This.

    Effort does not equal defense.

How many player meetings have the Brooklyn Nets had this year?

Good to hear. I think Chandler is slowly becoming a leader on this team. He is more vocal than most would expect. We need that...I don't see James as that kind of locker room leader, and I'm not sure about Dwight. Chandler fits that leader role pretty well, and despite his slump, Cisco can be a motivator, too.

Hopefully Kevin took some responsibility, too.

He's as much part of the team as the players are and definitely deserves criticism.

Poll: How many players meetings will it take before the players ask for a different coach (at least defense coach)?

Nobody wants to say the D word. "effort" is one of those euphemisms used when talking to reporters about how people just aren't doing their jobs.

Can you imagine how uncomfortable those are?

KG is probably pissed all the time and makes sure his "no laughing" rule is in full-effect. Pierce keeps it G. Joe Johnson is silent. D-Will is passive-aggressive. J-Kidd is unrelenting in his beliefs but he doesn't have the backing or experience yet. Jason Terry is loyal to KG and Paul so he probably goes along with their stuff. Reggie Evans just looks angry...

I wonder who is the main guy speaking there.

I think for the Rockets it does. Like someone said, scoring has not been a problem most of the time.

don't mind a leader, spiritual or vocal

Harden and Dwight are not traditional leaders anyway

This isn't even about having a leader. They all know what the problem is and what they need to do. Now they need their coach to make sure they actually do it, and call them out when they don't.

If nothing changes with this meeting, then it will be on Mchale to get this fixed. He has to demand and hold every player accountable for their play on the court. He also needs to lower our starter minutes so that they can give all out effort every play. I really think we have the players to spell our starters a little more than 10 minutes a game. Parsons, Harden and Howard (maybe he needs to until we get a backup) should not play 37+ minutes a game.
