Hold on everybody: World famous Gimmmethemike has made his pronouncement! Don't listen to Hakeem Olajuwon. Nope. Gimmmethemike (Four Ms!) has spoken!

Howard would have to be a beast all year to even be mentioned as MVP. I hope he can pull it off. Howard I thought carried this team last year and he never got a mention.

Sorry, but Olajuwon has never said anything negative about the Rockets, so I will take it with a grain of salt, especially since he's an employee now.

The problem with looking to have a MVP year is that some guys try to do it themselves and it hurts the team in the end. He looked horrible against Dallas. Tried to force it too much, threw up horrible shots against double and tripple teams instead of passing the ball. The team looked better against Memphis instead of trying to force feed it into Howard. He needs to learn to get his points in the flow of the game instead of 'hey, pass me the ball so I can do an Olajuwon move.'

He still wines too much after calls and makes stupid fouls. There's no Asik to bail him out this year when he gets into foul trouble or fouls out. I am hoping he learns from his mistakes sooner rather than later and has a good year that benefits him AND the team.

    I hope Dream is right.

If D12 do have a MVP season, I surely hope it carries over into the playoffs and wins us a Championship

I believe Dwight can return to his dominant Orlando self. He was starting to show just that in the Blazers series.

fwiw: someone named 99 gave me rep on a post here regarding Natalie Portman and Hakeem.

    Who is 99?

    Not THE 99?

Does JJ like Natalie Portman, too?

Apparently now Houston Christian Rock 99.5 is getting in on agreeing with 99 about the Natalie Portman and Houston Hakeem love

Howard is the only one that had that kind of Monster playoff performance after Shaq, if I remember it right.

I've always wondered how that's not an offensive foul. Lots of players do it, but it's basically ramming into the defender and knocking them backwards and out of position so that you create space for an easy score.
