How can you say he's been playing really well after one game? He is just trying to get back to how he was before surgery. He's been real crappy before today when he was decent.

I think Morris gets healthy, plays one or two more games in the d-league and comes back to the Rockets and gets playing time over Bud.

You see... the Rockets have a way of breaking their prospects by sending them to the D-League and making them wait their turn so that once they do live up to expectations, they don't roam wild with the "trade me to the Lakers / Knicks" or "I'm taking my talents to South Beach" crowd. ;)

That wouldn't be hard since Bud's not getting any.

Do you expand the rotation to include Morris? If so how? You have to cut minutes from three guys who are all playing well right now--Martin, Lee, and Parsons. You could probably get away with cutting each of their minutes by about 5 but would that actually make the team better, I doubt it, except maybe keeping Martin from getting as tired since he's already playing ~36 minutes. For Lee and Parsons they're earning every one of their 20-25 minutes.

The Rockets have always taken a "cream rises to the top eventually" method of doling out playing time. Last year, Patrick Patterson played 15 total minutes in the first 29 games of the season, and only 868 minutes total. Aaron Brooks played 7 minutes in the first 25 games of his rookie season, and only 608 minutes total. Carl Landry played 49 minutes in the first 39 games of his rookie season, and 711 total minutes.

Except if you're white: Chase Budinger: 20mpg, 74 GP, Luis Scola: 24.1mpg, 82 GP, Chandler Parsons: 22mpg, 15 out of 17 GP.

I expect some of the roster will be moved in a "talent consolidation" trade at the deadline, and that's when MM will be able to play (if he's not included in the deal). Right now letting him rust won't do him any good, as soon as he's healthy plug him back in the dleague.

Ideally, you cut some of Lowry's minutes when he's playing next to Lee and Dragic, and some of Martin's minutes when he and Lee play together. You also take the 6 minutes that Jordan Hill wastes every night and give them to Morris in small-ball lineups when he's paired with the Haitian, aka "the Nullifier" Sam Dalembert; that should get you to about 10mpg while keeping Lowry and Martin in the low 30s rather than the high 30s.

Yeah, lets trade our lottery pick BEFORE we give him a chance to play.

If goes somewhere else and kills it, the Rox would look VERY silly.

I beleive this guy can play the 3 and play it well.. His Kentucky coaches were quoted saying he's "the most complete player" theyve ever seen. The guy lead the dleague in scoring on his first stint with style... Knocking down step back jumpers, throwing down alley-oops and putbacks, and and-ones... This guy has the tools to be really really good..

    Feels like we're moth-balling him, doesn't it?

He played at Kansas, if the Kentucky coaches are saying this it is very high praise.;)
