The second worst thing about the trade falling through is the proliferation of completely baseless sh!ttalking speculation around here.

There is no way that Lamar "Sham Marriage Reality Show" Odom wanted out of LA. That move was about the cap space LA got. You guys should really chill. These guys have been waiting to play basketball for months and months now. Once the ball goes up, all of this crap will be forgotten, no matter what team they're on.

Lakers had offered Lamar Odom to teams with salary cap space, one GM says. "He wanted out and they really wanted to reduce the tax bill."

It went both ways. Listen to the SAS interview, these guys are human. Will they continue to play basketball? Yes. Will they continue to play winning basketball?......?...?..?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I like what Stern has done

to me what NOH got doesn't benefit the team in the long term at all.

There are no picks in that deal that are worth anything (certainly not with NYK signing of Tyson Chandler) and under the assets they sent NOH were never going to rebuild and were going to be stuck as a middling team much the same as Houston is (lets be realistic here: Odom, Scola, Martin, Dragic is going to give you 40 wins and maybe 7th to 8th seed and a first round exist)

As we ALL know those assets are absolutely useless in trades. Hanging out for picks and specially for the 2012 draft was very smart and good for NOH future.
