It makes a lot of sense. LeBron is disgruntled with the higher ups in Cleveland and he is on a team that is not as good as a Kevin Durant-infused Golden State squad. He can come down here and join CP3 and the Beard to try and win a couple more rings. It's a perfect set up.
I think CP3 is very interested in money. According to David Aldridge & other reports as well, they mentioned that one of the reason for this trade was that the Clippers were hesitant about giving CP3 a 5 year $205 million max extension. It's not crazy for them to have reservations about CP3, if he resigned with the Clippers this year, he'll be 37 or 38 and earning $46 million at the end of his contract.
Yes, certainly. We will have to overachieve like crazy, in order to have Lebron joining us in Houston.
Windhorst: Was this a Jerry West maneuver? West was reportedly not at the meeting & that to me says a lot. Paul had issues with the Clippers. That will come out in the coming days. We'll end up hearing is that when they ended up meeting with him, they weren't going to offer the full 5 years. Stephen Jackson: Rockets a real threat? Not right now. Not even close. Need more help. Windhorst: They could hypothetically trade for George & have their $8M MLE, a guy like Zaza Pachulia for example. Who knows who might spring free?
I'm sure this has already been mentioned, but Capela should be doing back-flips right now. He's gonna average nearly 20 & 10 running PnR with Paul this upcoming season before he hits Free Agency in 2018.
Been a long time since Morey pulled a shocker like this. The Rox could not afford to stand Pat (hehe), and Williams was leaving after next season anyway.
He didn't mean they actually had the cap space. He talked about how they would acquire that cap space in the next paragraph.
His reasoning is weird. He gives the Rockets a B+, but not because we added Paul. Then he gives the Clips an A, but because of the new additions. wtf?
