Dorsey? DORSEY!??! Who's that? On another note, for those of you questioning the injury, come on.... His reaction on the bench right after the injury said it all, that "at all times for this to happen" look on his face. Don't get me wrong. I can't stand him. Whines to the officials all game long, despite being the league's most notorious floppers and never getting fined or called out in the media. Even the Euros and Argentines probably envy his flopping skills. Just prepare for him as if he's 100% and see what happens.
They could beat Sister Mary's School for the Deaf women's team and I wouldn't care. I just want another effing championship.
I thought the same thing, until I heard him interviewed. Looks and on court behavior can be deceiving. He comes across as a really nice guy. I know, shocking.
I doubt he sits. The fact that he played the rest of the Spurs game indicates it probably was a minor pull. He likely just had lingering tightness. I think he could be back to nearly full strength by game 2.
Line just changed the past few hours...looks like the books do know. Also the O/U line is at 212. Love it when Vegas rides the Rockets.
But he really had no choice. It was either play or go home. Missing game 1 is a big deal but not as big as missing game 7.
Of course he had a choice. He had a choice to sit, if his leg wasn't responding. Also had a choice to pass more, if he didn't think he could move well enough. I know people want to think he just he just sucked up a bad injury, but significant hamstring issues just can't be overcome by a strong will. Those muscles are too important. He would have injured himself further or would have been limping very significantly, while playing. I think he just pulled it slightly and it responded well enough for him to keep playing. MRI was just as a precaution. The only reason they're being so careful for a Game 1 is because it's usually heavily in the home team's favor, so they're trying to decided if risking further injury (not because it's serious, but because CP plays so hard) is worth it, when they'll likely lose. It would make sense to let him rest, so he'll be pretty much 100% the rest of the series...but I doubt CP wants to sit.
I hope he plays. It increases the likelihood of an aggravation that could force him to miss the entire series. Flame away.
Stay classy Rockets fan..we all know wishing opponent's player get injury will eventually bite our ass..also don't forget what happened to Yao in game 2 of the Conf. Semi in 2008-09.
You mean DMo, Bev not enough? Fack that, we paid our dues this year already regarding injuries. It would be nice for others to have to deal with them too.
