Chris Myers OFFICIALLY announces retirement: http://houston.cbslocal.com/2015/08/25/chris-myers-announces-retirement-on-sportsradio-610/ Hey Bobby,
I hope Rick Smith has called Myers already. You know he's seen our first two games. You know he knows. Sign him up. Get Jones back to left guard. Get Brown back as quick as you can. In the mean time, shift Newton to Left Tackle. This line's gotta be fixed I know it's not ideal, but it's a hell of a lot better than rolling out there with two fringe roster gius starting.
LOL, Meyers wouldn't upgrade the O line, it would just move the hole from one of the guard spots to the center.

Spoiler It would be great if he did come out of retirement. He would add strength, better the position, slide Ben Jones back to LG, etc. Most of all, a leader, something this O-Line needs... Big Time!!
Bringing Myers' back from retirement wouldn't help the line. He'll only play center, of which he was very bad last year. Thus moving Ben Jones to LG, of which he was very bad last year. Jones is a true center, they started him at LG because they had noone else, not because he's good at it. Jones is also looking pretty good back at his natural position, and will continue to get better. The major issue is that rediculous shuffling of the line, instead of filling the weak links, they created wearker links throughout the entire line. You leave the line alone from C to RT no matter the course of action. At no point should Jones, Brooks, and Newton move out of their positions. Why weaken the strength of your line by moving guys out of position, and putting lesser players in positions that didn't need filling. With Duane out you plug in Chris Clark. With the LG whole you decide to keep playing Adams, go to Lamm, or actually play an interior lineman in Mancz. At no point should you decide to weaken the entire line of scrimmage trying to patch wholes on the left. That continuity on the right side is extremely important, and should never be disrupted. Some of these moves are dumbfounding. I have no ****ing clue what's going through their heads.
