Bynum is the 2nd best center in the league. I love Asik but Bynum would be a huge upgrade, assuming his knee can recover.

Nah, here is a kicked hornet's nest:

    Via Marc Stein/ESPN

    from the story

"The Milwaukee Bucks have been shopping Samuel Dalembert in trade talks.

The emergence of Larry Sanders this season has made Dalembert expendable in the Bucks' plans.

Dalembert had 35 points and 12 rebounds on Tuesday."

Seriously though, wouldnt signing Bynum be about as lateral a move as signing Sammy D again?

I hope this to be false. Bad knees, bad attitude just rather stay with Asik

Stick with Asik; his upside may not be as high, but his downside isn't as low.

We need Yolo Bynum. His personality > this entire team's combined.

Now if only he could get on the court

LOL...everybody says they'd hate signing Bynum

But guaranteed if he signs here, everybody will praise the move.

You absolutely can not guarantee that.

I for one would definitely not react favorably to it as I'm sick of having the Rockets' main guys go down for extended lengths of time with injuries and I'm positive I am not the only one.

I said basically the same thing when talking about Dwight Howard, back problems don't get better and considering how often Bynums knees have been issues, I'm not real sure I want any part of him either.

AB...? I though he was talking about Aaron brooks...!!

I would rather have Asik over Bynum anytime of the day.

Rockets need a front court presence...I know! Let's list off the available front court players and say that my multiple sources told me that Houston would be looking at player x if player y isn't available.

And there you have it. I give you the Broussard formula: award winning journalism in its finest hour!

It's not his knees or body we're worried about. It's his heart & head that's the problem.

No cure for a lack of desire.

I don't care if we have to play Bynum every other game like we tried to do with Yao's injury. Guy is arguably the best center in the NBA with the way Dwight's playing. You pull the trigger if you can sign him outright. The risk is worth the reward.

Not impressed with Bynum. He has a better back to the basket game than Dwight but that's not saying much.

The guy Houston should be looking to put next to Harden is.... COUSINS. A good passer from the high post, a legit back to the basket game and a very smooth touch. Like Harden, he plays with rhythm to his game and can be taught to become a more wholesome team player, unlike the blackhole that is Bynum. He has a timeless game and once he hits 25-26, he'll be a reliable option down the stretch.

Last year, DeMarcus Cousins averaged 18 and 11 as a 21 year old.

Andrew Bynum averaged 18.7 and 11.8 as a 24 year old.

The caveat was the difference in FG %, Bynum's 57% to Cousin's 45%, but being on a team with Kobe and Pau does that. Bynum has a few go to iso moves but he doesn't create spacing. He's got a stronger motor than Cousins, but if what you want is a motor, you have Asik.

The priorities for Houston should be:

    1. Cousins
    2. Howard (purely for his defensive impact)
    3. Bynum
