Having said that though it's still a great place to invest in real estate simply because of population growth, jobs growth and the availability of land. Even with the high property taxes the ROI on real estate makes it ideal for the investor. I own residentials in Texas and my family was interested in buying in Virginia....that endeavor ended quickly.
