Magic. ha. I felt ok. Yea we dropped 3 in a row, but we had JV on the hill on our home field. I liked our chances of sending it to a game 7 where anything can happen. Today Morton. We don't know what he will bring. But glad he was part of two game 7's last year so pressure shouldn't bother him. Of course. Bats HAVE to get going. Get him some support early. This feast or famine offense is hard on the nerves.
I guess it is not choking when the other team is Better. Red Sox are just better. No shame in that. They won 108 games.
And it's easier when the hometown nine gets hosed on a call that would still have them up a run. I'll give the Red Sox their due, but that call may have cost the Astros this series.
2 runs taken away, bogus. and 2 runs given after James should have been out of the inning on a pitch that was nowhere close to a ball. that's baseball.
definitely not choking when you lose to an 108-win team.... but we've definitely made some big, uncharacteristic mistakes this series.... BB, PB and HBP for runs, numerous passes balls/wild pitches, piss poor situational hitting... just frustrating.
It was a great run guys but astros brought it on themselves. How many hbp, wild pitches, walking men did astros give up. What are we doing giving up 7 plus runs a game for 3 games. Our pitching fell apart. The joe west call is just a small part of it.
Look its easy. Dallas Keuchal has to go. We need a LF. Sorry but Marwin is gonna cost to much if he stay sa la ve. We need a pure power bat that is atleast a .280 hitter and a catcher we can hit not bunt. Paul Goldshmdt from the backs would be great. And Realmuto from the Marlins. If Marwin stays he stays in LF period. If not look FA. Astros need A arm in Fa and maybe a relief arm. Miller would be terrific. Eovaldi would be another guy. You could always trade for a guy.
Solid plan. I love the idea of getting Goldy and JT via trades. I love Andrew Miller, he's the perfect guy for another Brent Strom reclamation project (at least I think he is). For the OF, I want Kemp/Springer/Tucker, trade Reddick to unload some $$$. Kemp is great, sans the one crucial mistake in the 8th. For the fifth starter, I'd LOVE Eovaldi, for many reasons. Hometown and Nolan Ryan connections aside, he's got elite stuff.
I want to literally punch his face in, even if it fractures my hand. At least I’ll feel a lot better and stop thinking about this game because my hand willl hurt.
You have a left fielder. His name Kyle Tucker. Minor leaguer of the year. He only had 100 bats this year. He will be ready next season. You also have an arm....Forest Whitley.
