Can you understand this English phrase: Basketball is a team sport.

Yao Ming probably knows less English than you, and he understands that phrase, perfectly. btw: Hasn't this chinese roll call thread been posted at least a dozen times already. Can we make this a sticky?

Welcome, Chinese fans!

To those of you who are here because of Yao Ming: We hope you'll take an interest in learning more about Yao's teammates, the history of the Rockets, and the city they represent. If you don't know about Hakeem Olajuwon (the great Nigerian center who preceded Yao Ming) or Rudy Tomjanovich (the best big-man coach in the world), we recommend that you take a look around this site and the Internet to find out more. This is Yao Ming's home away from home. Make it yours, too.

If anyone here has links to help our new fans from abroad familiarize themselves with the team, its history, and the city, please post them.

I am from New Jersey, USA. I watched my first NBA final when I was in Hong Kong(forgot when was it), it was Moses Malone's Rockets against Celtics. I am rockets fan since then.

Go Yao, Go Rockets.

Most Chinese NBA fans know Hakeem well, they know Francis
as well and like him.
You will see Chinese NBA fans are pretty common, most of starters are Nike and TV's preys, they worship, you bet, God
Michael. There are heavy Kobe fans and AI fans in China.
In my opinon, all these fans are just like homeless, they like
Koba and MJ only because media is telling them to do so.
They all come in with YaoMing, making Rockets their home
is the sweetest thing and needs some educational works.

I am a Chinese NBA fan and I have been a Rockets fan with this
site since 96, with Yaoming's coming, I am so proud of being
both.
