Al Gore, who claims to have built the wall pictured here, failed in his attempt to jump the wall on a BMX bike after buying crack from Noelle Bush and studying plans for the jump drawn up by G. W. Bush. Upon landing, Gore demanded a rejump before he died as Dick Cheney applied the heimlich firmly with a boot heel.

    Is everyone happy now?

Brian, I'm not arguing the idea of what is or isn't appropiate in either case. I'm simply pointing out the fact that you said the two cases were not remotely similar. I think they are.

Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong.

****, I'm no expert. My understanding of it is that progressive drug use chemically alters the brain, making it more receptive to drug interactions (and thus giving users "cravings").

But you better ask a scientician, I'm no expert.

I find the stance that drug abuse is not a choice really funny coming from someone who believes so strongly in personal responsibility.

But, that isn't even my point. I'm just surprised at how easily my opinion is dismissed as not representing the majority or as just my need for vindication. When you closed the Bush thread and the vast majority disagreed with you, I didn't see you back down. In fact, I tried to de-fuse the situation by telling everyone to chill out. Why would you expect me to back down when you wouldn't?

Remind me not to back you up the next time if this is what it gets me.

A young Chinese biker died with spectator watching. I blame it on the planner, .. or the government.

    What's funny about it.

Doing what's right is supposed to be its own reward. That's why I thought you posted on that other thread, because you felt it was right.

If you had some ulterior quid pro quo motive, I apologize for not catching the sly winks or the finger on the side of the nose.

The photos are pretty funny. A-Train's jokes have been good. I laughed at B-Bob's post, that was pretty funny.

The reaction of a lot of posters in this thread has me amused too.

The one photo taken out of context could be considered humorous, but it was in context. You probably read the story and saw the aftermath. It's just not funny at that point. Maybe if he lived to laugh about it too but he didn't.

I bring it up because I was particularly galled that your ethics would cover the Bush thing as being in bad taste but not this.

Ah, that doesn't really do it for me, but you know, whatever floats your boat.

all i want is consistency... if this is fair game, so is bush's daughter. (in my opinion, and obviously that of others as well)

but you've already mentioned that "you don't want to rehash" that story...
