wow... so many non-believers no one started a thread until the game started. i would have but i'm on vacation so limited web access.

looks like Del Harris listened to me and put in Du and Mo. Did it work?

Do any of you Rox fans worry about Yao and Del Harris's relationship? It appears that they have become good friends (moreso than he and Van Gundy) and with Cuban's money, they may make a run at Yao when he is a FA.

You can answer it by the outcome of the game.

Du at least dares to shoot when he is left open. Even after going 1-6, he scored 7 absolutely crucial points later in the game and helped seal the win.

Mo Ke was also off the from field, but he was able to get some boards, and helped relieve some pressure from Yao.

Play of the game? The behind the head no look pass of Yao out of the triple team to Du with a dunk.

Every team that needs a center(99% of the league) will make a run at Yao when he's a FA, whats the use of worrying?

    whoo!

maybe i should become a scout. i've only seen three full CNT games using BT and I knew Du Feng was a GAMER. Mo is okay... I defy people who think Wang Zhizhi would present a significant upgrade.

I also like Guo Shiqiang... wonder if he'll get a chance to prove himself. Weakest link in the CNT has to be Chen Ke.

DAMN! i expected to come in hear and read about another 30 point rout but instead they knock serbia out of the tourney and yao has a huge game. sweet. how could serbia with all its fundamentals lose?

i do feel kinda bad for angola now. they said they were hoping to win the 11th place game to try and become the first team from the african continent to win an olympic game (i think that's what they said). i don't know if they wanted to face serbia, though.

What a great win for China! I am shocked!

What is even more impressive is Yao played the ENTIRE game! All 40mins! Talk about leaving it all out on the court!

At least he shoots better than 22% from 3 with no man guarding him.

It's funny, you'd think people would be lining up tp scout for Del Harris for Free. Yet he has no one. Go help him out yipeng. He needs you.

I believe I speak for every Rox fan out there (or at least the majority) that this issue you are trying to creat is a non starter. It is not an issue now and will never be.

Yao will not smell free agency soon or even never. So there won't be any bidding war.

Yao is a consumate proffessional. See the trend....RudyT, Van Gundy, Del harris,......etc. He treats them all with respect and humility. Nothing fae - nothing special. That is who he is. Above all he is doing this (along with Del) for his beloved country. Everything else now is secondary to Yao.

I'm proud of Yao. He needs to have the same attitude whenever he plays for the Rockets. Always keep on fighting. Never give up.

I'm so excited for Yao and all of the Chinese people here on the board. It was very disappointing to wake up at 6 in the morning to watch Yao and the CNT get blown out by Spain in the first game! I've been hoping that Yao and the CNT come in second place.
