Don't mean much, everyone knows the Chinese team sucks. It's Yao that we are interested in. Besides, since it was just practice, how do we know Yao even played that much or that hard since there are no stats for him.
Why is anybody surprised by this?! Mengke Bateer, one of the best Chinese players (clearly better than the rest of the team except for Ming), is a MEMBER of the Nuggets bench!!! Therefore, if the rest of the bench is about as good or better than Bateer, than it only stands to reason that the Nuggets would be fielding a better team in that scrimmage. Plus, Ming is only 21. He is not an All-Star caliber player...yet.
I've posted in the other thread. Ming didn't play much in this scrimmage. It's said that the coach let mostly the younger players play the 4th quarter. (Ming is the youngest, but considered a veteran on the team.)
