Chicago wants to get ahead of Houston and Dallas in terms of making room for him and they want to be the lead Melo story as he visits other teams.
Boozer is NOT a great defender. What he is, is a very good mid range shooting PF. I do think he would fit well next to Howard. He can play 12-15 ft outside the lane all day long and pick n pop. With Howard in the paint he has help behind him on D. Only problem he has is come playoff time he can't score inside against taller PFs and Cs. Maybe with us he wouldn't have to since Howard would be in the paint.
Boozer has never defended his entire career. Jerry Sloan used to call him out for not defending (but it didn't do any good).
Has any other credible outlet reported this? I haven't seen it. You would think news like this would be reported by multiple entities.
