Obviously I'm hoping he does well, but... He's going to look terrible out there. I'm well aware he has dunk contest experience, but the NBA contest requires that extra level, that extra flair. Bud just doesn't have it.
So whats the over/under going to be for the number of times they mispronounce Budinger's name in the Dunk contest.
Why are people sleeping on shumpert? He should have one of his volleyball teammates do a set up pass.......and at its highest peak, jump and spike the ball through..... If Dwight can win it for throwing it in, surely something "supernatural" like a spike can get the job done......
If this is fan based Shumpert has this locked since he will have Lin assisting him. There will be so many people voting for him just because they're all hyped up over this Lin insanity crap.
Bud is an explosive leaper, but he deosn't have the flexibility in his hips to do any special dunks in mid air, and he doesn't have the explosive "finish" to his dunks. His dunks are almost as soft as he is as a player. Still think he is an above average dunker though and I'm still proud to have a Rocket rep us
T-Will is out of the rotation. Even Daniel Greene played some limited minutes when he was chosen as a dunk contestant.
Rockets should sign James "Flight" White to a 10 day contract about 10 days before the All-Star game.
I am happy for Bud and for Houston. Nice to get some national TV time. And you never know what you are going to get in a dunk contest so everyone just needs to be open about it.
That dude can do a 360 and a between the legs from the free throw line! Best dunker in basketball history; too bad nobody knows who he is.

I was just using a clutchfans cliche to add to the hilarity of Chase Air Bud going to the dunk contest. He has hops, I will give him that. But, I see him as one of the least favored contestants in a long time. I predict a windmill, a reverse-under-the-legs dunk (which will get him 9's and 10's), and one dunk that I will surprise the majority of the people watching (considering it's Bud doing it). I do hope I am wrong though!
