Not an atheist, more of an agnostic who thinks God probably exists here, but the idea that an action that occurs for a finite amount of time can have everlasting effects throughout all eternity upheld by an all-knowing all-seeing but somehow still somewhat petty God is hard for me to swallow. But hey, more power to you if that's what you believe. Rather, I feel like God's plan for us is much more simple. Just try and make things a little better than you found them. You might screw up, in fact, you probably will, but it's no biggie. Time cures all.
If u take a giant **** on someone's else rights and that document in the process then why not. I'm talking for 100% guilty nonhuman types. They don't deserve typical human sympathy empathy since they don't even understand it.
When it comes to Charlie Manson, which "victims"? Did he ever actually harm anyone? I'm not sure he did. In fact, I'm not sure there's legitimate evidence that he truly did anything illegal. I'm not saying he's not a crazy person and I'm not saying that society wasn't better off with him being locked up the rest of his life, but it certainly seems like they locked him up for life without much evidence that he actually committed any crimes. Then again maybe I just don't know the facts well enough when it comes to his case.
I've had my disagreements with religion in the past myself, but I'm not sure why it's getting all this hate for something as joyful as Manson finally leaving this Earth. Religion has help mold this society into what is into today regardless of what we think about it...that's something that should be respected I think, even if one isn't a believer.
You are basing your opinion off some moralistic logic. The thing every atheist needs to look at is this: earth and human beings on it is mindblowing. the fact that you are on this earth to have an opinion is mindblowing. If somebody didn't create all this, there is a hell of a lot of randomness, and a lot of **** went right. Somebody created this, maybe you don't believe it was the BIBLE's god, but somebody created this world.
Holy s***...this is the most bobby post ever. Pretty much everyone ever is in agreement that Manson had a huge part in the murders. But here's bobby to take the opposite view that Manson didn't do anything.
That is literally the worst explanation I have ever read to not be an Atheist, and it also underlines the fact that you do not know what it means to be an Atheist. Atheists do not deny the possibility of an external creator of the Universe. The utter lack of evidence for such a claim is obvious, though.
