Open practice was so much fun. I was almost half court on the other side of this. I took a video, but it’s the opposite side and not as good because of Clutch the Bear being in the way. You need to come down and hit a home game.
25 pts, 5 ast, and 4 reb in 28 minutes of play is nice. I like what I'm seeing as far as his confidence in his shot, glimpses of playmaking ability, and defense. Finishing through contact still needs more work but as he gets stronger and more polished that too will come. Need to see more, but the kid is looking beyond solid right now. Sprinkle in KPJ playing a bit more under control, Jabari's shot looking automatic (I know it was only one preseason game), and Tari looking like an all around steal... we just may have most of the pieces we need to be a top tier team in the near future.
The best thing is he drops 18 in a half and you just can feel how much more he could do with more experience. He will be amazing
Jalen can essentially get by anyone he wants to with ease at this point, it's now more about learning how to finish or passing it to the corner to to the big men afterwards
Dude falls out of bed dropping 30 points. With Murray and Mitchell now in the East I think Green has a legit shot as an All Star guard this year especially if there is an injury to Morant, Curry, CP3, Booker, or Lillard. Imagine him in his prime about 25….
That finish spoke volumes to me. If he can do that consistently his game will soar to new heights (pun intended). Flashy dunks and athletic ability can make you a STAR in this league, but finishing through contact and getting to the free throw line regularly makes you an ALL-STAR!
I do hope boobythegreat mental game is strong for the impending clowning he will get from folks throughout the upcoming season for the brewer 2.0 comparison. Green is lookin better and better
He's the guy. It's not even debatable at this point, he's answered the questions and shown definitively that his slow start last year was just a slow start. There's no more "KPJ is the most talented guy on the roster" "Alpi is our best player" as far as I'm concerned. Jalen's made it clear that he's a tier above the rest, it's up to them to see if they can catch up in all honesty. If they can we're a contender.
3rd leading scorer in the preseason at 22ppg on about 25 mpg. extrapolated out to 36mpg he is at 31ppg......let's go !!! DD
Obviously we have to tamper down our expectations based off preseason games because teams aren't playing their full A team line ups. But the way he's stroking it and the improvements to his strength and ball handling are very apparent and shows the dude works hard.
Neither were we though, he didn't play 1/3rd of his regular time, and never against scrubs....like 3rd teamers. DD
