He could be in the convo since he will be at the all star break but wont get in due to popularity. The NBA has done the 4rd guy gets in by fan vote - and that is strictly a popularity contest in which he stands no chance. His dunks dont even get put on ESPN for some reason.

Also, it has a lot to do with creativity once you are there. David Lee won in high school because he was creative - not because he had the highest vert. You can win without a 40' vert

lol ... ya he gets tip dunks but i see no dunk contest level hang time...
    - his timing his great... his hops arent the best
    - chase got a better vert and twill or lee would do better in a dunk contest
    - btw mcbob to me is the best white dunker in the league

Buddinger would actually be the better choice from the Rockets. Maybe T-will.

Twill, bud, then parsons. Remember Twill's dunks in SA? Those were the types of dunks that will get you in the All Star Weekend. If we played him more than zero minutes he might have a chance. FREE TWILL.

No, Parsons is not contest worthy.

He has good timing on the tip-ins, limber body and good long reach to get them. But not the ULTRA explosion and max vert that the highest end dunkers have.

If Budinger had even 1/4 the "kamikaze" aggressive approach that Parsons has, Budinger would be a crazy good in-game dunker.

He's a in game dunker, the guy uses momentum to his advantage. There is nothing actually great about his dunks in terms of flash and power. Would be a terrible choice, though nobody gives a crap about the dunk contest, so why not.

I would like him to get to the contest. He probably won't though. A more practical candidate to the all-star weekend would be kyle lowry for the 3-pt shootout

That would be Kevin Martin's event.

Lowry could do the skills thing.

Psh, it wouldn't be fair to the other contestants. Look how bored he is... it's too easy for him.

LOL ... that's like Bud's top career play. And Parsons does that almost every game.
