Paul George looks pretty darn good. He is a little quicker on D, and can get a shot off a little better than Parsons. Hits shots with hands in his face it seems a lot. Only judging from highlights I have seen of him this year.

Good question though because I would bet Parsons is the better defender for a long term prospect. Once they get paid.

Yeah....... I guess we just got crazy lucky with this kid!

I'd say for what chandler parsons is getting paid, He is a super star! Lol.

Sounds like we are for sure set at 2 positions moving forward.

Barnes has a much higher ceiling than Parsons. Parsons maybe better now but not for long. And did you just say Parsons is on the same level as Deng...????

    Now you're funny...lol..

He doesn't need to take less money, he only needs to agree not to sign with anyone else while we only use the cap hold on him (which is pretty standard that the big names fall first anyway). After that we can bird rights him to any amount (my opinion is he's about a 6-8m per player). Most of the stars in the nba become free agents in one form or another in the next 3 off seasons.

Well he either equalled or out played him twice this year and his personal stats are as good plus he is a terrific defender so I don't know what stealth quality that Deng has that makes you think he is so much better than Parsons. Maybe you just don't watch much ball but only keep up with names.

One of the worst posts I have seen in a long time.

Chandler actually plays defense. Routinely gets steals/blocks and does the "intangible" things that lead to a lot of opportunities on the court. Rebounds well for his position.

His ball handling skills are vastly underrated for a 6'10 guy. He can run the pick n roll surprisingly well. His facilitating ability is great. He slashes excellently.

To me Parsons is like AK-47. Though Kirilenko was a better defender (especially at shot blocking) and Parsons is the better offensive threat (especially with ball handling being taken into consideration).

Ryan Anderson is basically just a three point specialist. He's kinda just Matt Bonner on steroids.

No thanks. I'd take Parsons any day of the week.

Dude just because I don't agree with you doesn't mean you have to accuse me of not watching basketball.. But if you and others think Parsons is an elite untradeable player and a guy like Deng wouldn't help the team than okay...

Honestly, when I hear people talk about intangibles it normally equates to "I like the guy but can't justify it statistically or otherwise."
Comparing parsons to ak47 at his prime is just bananas. He was legit 1st team all nba defender.
Anderson boards like crazy. I'd say they're even on defense and Anderson a much better shooter. I'd take parsons slightly in the finishing department.

I´d take Chandler in the rebounding, passing, defending, slashing, finishing, stealing, blocking and leadership department - and Anderson in the shooting department. Anderson is a nice role player who does one thing really well. Chandler is a nice role player who does everything well and has the potential to be special. Oh, and I think he makes about 8 million dollars less per year...

I won't argue with you on all the basketball stuff. Agree to disagree.
But what's the deal with this leadership nonsense? According to whom?
I guess since our main players are an African American, Asian American, European, and good ol Caucasian American folks automatically anoint the latter as the leader.
Harden is the leader. He's the best player and a good guy so who else would it be?

    Good ole Caucasian? Really?

The whole Parsons leadership bit came from this summer before the Rockets ever traded for Harden. He was the guy leading the rooks in the summer league, the first guy to reach out to the new players and made comments about it with additional comments from McHale.

It has nothing to do with him being a good ole Caucasian you fuking jack ass

Thank God the Rockets have someone who texts new players welcome. Only everybody in the league does that.

I like parsons but come up with real reasons to like him. He can shoot. He can finish. He hustles. He's a good guy by all accounts.

But anointing your fourth best player a leader cause you like him is silly. Especially when he's a second year player. Get real.

It was a topic discussed by the media and coaching staff during the summer. If you weren't so busy trying to come up with a ignorant racist comment you might have remembered that.

The summer NBA news is awfully slow my friend.

Good ole Caucasian American folks? Really? That's why you think people refered to Chandler as a leader and you don't see the issue with that statement? You are really thick
