Budinger is never going to be an acceptable starter in the NBA, until he learns how to play some D. Budinger gets regularly lit up by opposing wings, no matter if they are starter quality or benchwarmers. He just sucks at staying in front of his man. Maybe he will finally get better, but I won't be surprised to see Bud get demoted to bench status where his TP soft ass belongs.
Actually, I expect Bud to be swapped in the frenzy after the new CBA (which I assume will be agreed to at some point in my remaining years).
Hi guys, UPDATE Very good news for Chandler, he was a big game tonight against one of the best teams in French (3rd from the last championship, play off semi final) 14pts 5/9 (2/3 FT3) 11 rbs 5 ass 24 ranking http://www.lnb.fr/fr/Pro-A/200009/Resultat-match/6192/Chalon-Saone-Cholet Short summary of the match http://www.lnb.fr/fr/LNB-TV/1000002/Video/2094/Pro-A-3eme-journee-Chalon-Saone-vs-Cholet Next game Saturday against the team of Tony Parker
Thanks for the update Embedded vid from that link. 1:18 on, Parsons #18 in Red. Shows a couple nice passes, 2 And-1s on a dribble drive and a 4-point play attempt. <iframe width="560" height="345" src="http://www.lnb.fr/transaction/embed-video.php?video=2094" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> What does "Évaluations (EV)" mean in the stat line?
It's the European PER if you will. The formula is (PTS + REB + AST + STL + BL + RF) – ((FGA – FGM) + (FTA – FTM) + TOV + BA + PF).
yes that's the European version, for the French version fouls do not count evaluation = [Points + Rebounds + Assists + Steals + Blocks] - [(Field Goals Att. - Field Goals Made) + (Free Throws Att. - Free Throws Made) -Turnovers)]
Chandler, whose contract ended at the end of month, has re-signed until the end of the season with a lock-out clause
Before, he was playing against higher level competition. Now that he is playing in French League, the competition is generally low. He should be able to play well there. If not, then he sucks.
Cibona's SF, it isn't stronger than those who play in Pro A Batum, it doesn't easily http://www.lnb.fr/fr/Pro-A/200006/Joueurs/A30905/Nicolas-Batum Entire game Chalon-Cholet Partie 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GM5c6bI8GRg Partie 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bR8qxXs0mr4 Partie 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_qGG5jepvc Partie 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4u7sZMLX_4 Partie 5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umshpx5by30
Even if Chandler is never good enough to play in the NBA he can still make a really good living playing overseas in a lessor league. That is a pretty good life for a young man. DD
I would guess at the absolute max he is making something like $100,000 net. So, maybe $200,000 in NBA salary. And I am going by an absolute max that he could probably be making. He would also have to greatly improve his play so far to earn more than that in Europe next season. As for the lessor league........the French League is one of the worst leagues in Europe. I am sure his aspirations would be much higher than that.
Aside from maybe 10-20 players, the French League is every bit as good as any league in Europe. The French coach said so...
