It's all ambiguous talk about a player that the organization intends to keep around at least in the near future. Of course things can always change, and he might be replaceable. There's no objective definition behind a foundation piece or a cornerstone.
He's one of the many reasons why we lost the series imo by proclaiming himself as the best small forward even before the series began, and then we all know what Batum did to him.
off-topic: it doesn't appear that you are in the construction business or providing an answer rooted in construction expertise.
We saw this trend in his time here. As a rookie, he got time for his above average defense, but in his sophomore and junior campaign, he really became a poor defender as he focused exclusively on offense. I guess it worked out for him because he got paid, but it seems pretty obvious that the Rockets made the right decision to let him go.
Yeah Parsons became irrelevant once he left us. In Houston he was part of the "big 3" with Harden/Dwight. Even though he really wasn't, nobody had an issue with him lumping himself in there riding the coat tails of those two. He sought the money and fame by signing with Dallas. He got the money, but has not gotten the fame. I don't see anybody talking about this dude outside of Dallas fans and Houston fans. He has completely disappeared from national radar.
Uh no, it's was a obvious double screen set from the beginning. Chandler for some reason not only switched with Beverly but set up behind Lillard. He was trailing before the ball got inbounds
This is why Ariza>Parsons. Parsons puts up nice boxscore numbers but his D is really bad, even prior to microfracture surgery Batum had his way with him and now he's even slower on D.
Everybody was at fault, Parsons should've been in front of Lillard to cut him off instead of trailing the whole time. That way a switch would never have been necessary. Harden should've at least tried to recognise the play and be closer to the point where Lillard was inevitably going to end up. Instead he opted to stay behind and be lazy as always. Don't know who drew it up, but poorly executed by all involved. Beverley stayed with Mo since he burried as before, so that at least makes some sense.
His Q- Rating is in the toilet. I remember when he was a Rocket marveling at how he parleyed his 2nd round draft status into magazine covers, endorsements and NBA popularity. There are better white players (Redick, Hayward) that still don't hold his level of popularity. I didn't think he would play better in Dallas, but I was expecting his celebrity to rise.
The cliffnotes version: Harden switched the defensive play on the court Chandler wasn't sure he was supposed to switch and was late guarding his man. Lillard went off script and just sprinted to the ball for a shot and made it.
