Morey could've kept parsons' service one more year for pittance, instead he let Parsons go for nothing. Morey ball fail!

It's actually a joke on Harden more than on CP. The problem is Harden which is your star player/max player/franchise player. Do you really think he'll be able to bring Rockets a championship without improving his defense? At least CP compared to Harden is a 2-way player. Harden is a lot better offensively, but defensively, he's one of the worst out there. A tall, static post might be better defensively. Everything just boils down to Harden because by right, he's the alpha dog for the Rockets and because of that, he's the one expected to do the most.

Dirk doesn't hold the key. It's with Cuban.

Translation: The Mavericks couldn't get anyone else to take their money, so they tell Parsons what he wants to hear to seal the deal. There is no way that Carslile views Parsons as a franchise player.

Nobody has said Parsons is worth a max contract.

Only a few have a problem with Morey going after a star. The problem is taking 2 steps backwards in the hope a 3rd star is available that we can get to be have a chance at home court again.

The argument for matching Parsons HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT HE WILL OR WILL NOT ACHIEVE IN DALLAS!

We go from a team that could grow into a contender after addressing the bench into a team that will make up the numbers in the West for a year and hope a big man picks us.

Parsons was terrible defensively. If you think all of the Rockets defensive issues fall on Harden, you are mistaken.

meh.. still not worth 15M/yr. Nothing ever fell on parsons shoulders last year. I'll miss him because I love watching him on a hot streak, but he just disappeared too many times with his 3s.

which surprises me so much. in his rookie year, his defense was what he was known for.

I hope the best for Parsons but still want Dallas to not make the playoffs lol. Either parsons will shine in Dallas or he's gonna get exposed.

This is all on Morey and Les. If the team fails, both fail with it.

I agree with you that he shouldn't have the ball that much. That said, it's not strange to see star who strives on moving without the ball. Allen, Hamilton and Miller remind me of some guys who are stars and yet doesn't need the ball that much. One thing though, Parsons isn't like those guys I mentioned so he might not be a star after all. Given that, I'd still prefer him over Ariza.

I want to see what their near max player(CP) will do when he can't find the basket, he had long periods of bad and hot shooting.

Morey concluded a core of Harden/Howard/Parsons isn't good enough to win a championship and Parsons contract would prevent them from getting a player good enough to lead to a title.

FWIW I agree Parsons alone isn't good enough. It still sucks losing it but what would be worse is keeping him and losing all long term chances at a title.

Haha. NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR CAPS!

Sometimes one must bide their time and play the long con instead of settling for smaller scale short term success.

If Harden was defending Harden, he would easily score 60+

I didn't say Parsons alone is good enough. I don't care what Morey thought back then. Once we missed out on those others stars, he had a choice. Build on what we had to win, or waste next season by taking two steps back in the hope we might get a third star at a later date.

We are worse now, there is no guarnatee we will get the players to improve on the season passed.

Portland beat us and eliminated us because our moronic coach left Jones on Aldridge for two games.

Keeping the team that one 54 games and improving the bench had a better chance of winning than this current path.

You don't have to have 3 stars to win, if we don't get a star in 2 seasons we have NO CHANCE at winning with this group. NONE!

How about isntead of that bull**** post, be the first person to propose a plasuable option to get the third star? What a ****ing joke.

That would be too small. 100+ at least. If you give them 2 balls, it'll be 300. It'll be like playing with your shadow.

Franchise players are called franchise players because they must be one. GM/Owners aren't the first people to whom a championship is credited. That will always belong first to the players, specifically your star and to the coach. Yeah, GM/Owners are the decision makers on who are going to play but in the end, they are not the ones playing on the hardwood. ;)
