That's why drafting Thabeet was such a great pick. He averaged 4.5 blocks per game.

Yeah, that’s what I was asking about where the star potential drops off, thanks guys. So I guess if we can’t get into top 5 there’s not much point in packaging multiple picks to move up. Ideally I’m hoping we can package those picks for someone like LMA if Portland decides to tear it down completely. We really need a star. :(

Not that you get it wrong, there are really solid guys with huge potential in the 1st round. That's why you don't necessarily have to package up picks for a higher one. Many of the guys out of lottery will turn out really good imo.

I think Davis and Robinson are gonna be superstars and play very good early, but everyone after that is very similar in talent and is all hit or miss but the NBA is due for a good draft do I think there is going to e a lot of good players this year.

Me too, Let's trade Scola and Martin to get 2 more first round picks and we will have 5 young talent to develop and that will be so fun to watch...
Also I think we are able to get a top 5 pick for Lowry if we decide to go with Dragic next season...

A draft of Sullinger, Lamb, and Wroten would be nice.

Although we'd have to get rid of some others to make it work.

Trade Patsquatch, Martin (and Morris or Bud while we're at it). Re-sign Lee. Let Dragic walk.

    Lowry, Wroten
    Lee, Lamb
    Parsons, Morris/Bud
    Scola, Sullinger
    Dalembert, Camby

+ whatever we got in exchange for Patsquatch, Martin and Morris/Bud.

That looks like the "good but not great" team the Rockets like to roll out.

    ::EDIT::

    Forgot about Donuts

Too many players on this team...

If you trade Lowry, K-Mart, Scola, Bud for picks in this year's draft it'd really be exciting. Imagine us getting Jones, Lamb, Wroten, Leonard, White,... HOT

I'd be pretty happy with that, especially lamb and Miller

yeah, I like lamb a lot. He's just as good as Beal imo. Kinda reminds me of durant.

I'd be pretty excited if we got Jeremy Lamb. He played a key role winning the NCAA Championship his freshman season. I always thought he had a little bit of T-Mac in his game, too.

I think if we want him we can def get him...either by trade draft...but honestly we need to get davis or drummond. Trade all 3 picks and current players if we have to.

Either that or go after Baragani with our picks and martin or scola

If trading for a star doesn't happen I would love it if we’d trade Martin for Minnesota’s pick from Utah. And then trade Bud and Scola for maybe a future pick or something. We’d get all the bad defenders off the team and get to watch a ton of young talent develop -- 4 first round picks, D-Mo, plus Morris who’d finally be getting his shot. That would be extremely fun to watch.

agreed. I don't know why so many people are scared of blowing up the team and starting fresh. I actually like to watch young, talented players develop.

Yah I really think they are going to go all in on a high draft pick...

We can offer Martin, Scola, Morris, (dalembert), possibly 3 picks...and even lowry if it was the right deal and we signed dragic.

All of that without hurting the core of our team. Say we trade a combination of that above to get davis. I would think there is enough to get him...one bobcats are morons...two they have byombo or whatever...dont really need a defensive atheltic 4.

I doubt we have what it takes to get the #1 pick, but if Drummund falls out of the top 3, we need to do what it takes to get him. As much as I'm leery of UConn bigs, he looks like a more athletic Demarcus Cousins to me.

Completely agree that we need to bring back Dragic.

i highly doubt that we stay with 3 mid first round picks, if anything i see morey trying to either move up in the draft using the picks coupled with a scola or martin as a added bonus so we can get into the top 7 of this years draft..

    maybe something like this:

    #14, #15 and scola for a top 5 spot.. #3,#4 or #5.. and #21 and Martin for #7. #8, #9, or #10..

so let's say we did that and #3 pick and #9 now.. i would do that.. 2 guaranteed contracts of top 10 talent and we lose 2 big contracts for summer free agency.. i like this a lot better than drafting 3 mid first rounders again.. If Morey is good, he will be able to move up in the draft given the "assets" he possess..

if Drummond falls to #4 and Portland has the pick, sending them Lowry and a late pick makes a lot of sense...
