This upcoming draft is very weird, there's no clear cut number one pick, and player fluctuate all over the lottery. I mean I saw Motiejunas fluctuate between 5th and 12th in two different mock drafts (lottery portion), and the same thing with the majority of the player in the lottery. A another thing about this draft, is that the lottery is ridiculously filled with under underclassmen, mostly freshmen. I mean there's really no Patrick Patterson "NBA Ready player", in this lottery portion of the draft, it will certainly test Morey's scouting skills...
Valanciunas is a Noah kind of center, could become better than him, but still very young, 18. I like him a lot.
When i went to ESPN ten minutes ago, I thought they didn't update it because it's been having us select Donatas Motienjunas for the last two years.
I stopped reading anything you had to say after this. But, seriously, I'd probably take my chances with a guy like Jan Vesely or Donatas in the #11 to #13 range. They could possibly stash him overseas during the lockout and 2011-12 season to get more experience. Then, either bring him over or package his draft rights with the (likely two) other first rounders the Rockets will have in 2012 to move up or acquire a good player.
I don't know that point guard is our most pressing need, but what is there not to like about Kyrie? He has shown poise, he can shoot and pass and should eventually be a solid defender. I am far more confident that Kyrie will be a good player than I am anyone else in this draft.
What really catches your eye about this guy? He just seems like another wingman you could get a whole bunch from if you stuck your hand in the dleague. He just reminds of me of a Morris Almond. (aka. major bust if selected in the lottery)
You must have pressed that button like one hundred times, because I pressed it like thirty times and kept getting 12-14.
