At this point you should take Embiid no question. A 7'1 center with huge athleticsm, fluid mechanics and good midrange is incredibly rare in the history of the NBA. If he stays healthy he'll be the best Center in the NBA in a few years and a difference maker on both ends. Best prospect since 2003 imo.

I know the Rockets could use a PG with defensive tenacity and playmaking ability...Elfrid Payton has my attention...

As a prospect, I really like Payton. Impressive how a guy can shoot above .500 and not really have a jumpshot. Apparently San Antonio met and interviewed him. If he develops his game under Parker and works with the staff that gave Kawhi Leonard a jumpshot...wow.

Also he has the best hair in the draft.

For Kyle Anderson to last that late...what a deep draft. Also, McGary was projected as a top 5 pick in 2013 before he decided to go back to school.

We are going to be getting someone with quality this year. No way Morey trades pick.

Kyle Anderson will be nothing but a poor man's Diaw.

His footspeed is too slow to guard any PG and elite SFs.

Yay- just what the NBA needs, another entitled brat who wants to pick his team before actually playing a game.

There is a lot of value (role players) at the top of the second round in most mock drafts.

    Lin & cash for one
    DMo for an other
Parsons deal needs one in it too, plus what ever we get as the main part of the deal
    Asik (see Parsons)

some of the ones that have my interest: Mitch McGray, Markel Brown, Jusuf Nurkic & Vasilje Micic

Soild rotation players on minimum contracts is always a good thing.

Multiple league sources say that there are a surprising number of top picks for "sale" this year. "I thought getting a lottery pick via trade would be virtually impossible this year," one NBA GM told Insider. "It's not. There are a lot of teams in the lottery right now that would prefer a proven player. A lot of owners have lost their patience with the rebuilding process." ESPN.com -

Among the teams that would be open to trading their lottery pick? It's highly likely that the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, Orlando Magic and Utah Jazz are all holding onto their picks.

Look for the Bucks, Hawks, Mavs, Blazers and Raptors to be especially busy trying to move up or acquire a second pick. ESPN.com

Rockets are not in the list to move up.
    why we are not?
Morey probably like more salary cup to bring a free agent.

Morey's target is to get the "BIG 3" now.
If he can't get the big fish, he would like to move someone to get draft pics

A friend of mine recently spoke with one of the Suns' scouting consultants for Europe and he confirmed that this is a made-up rumor. Šarić wants to play in the NBA immediately, but he's afraid no team will pay his 1.6 million euros release clause and he certainly doesn't have the money to pay it himself. On the other hand, Efes Pilsen just named Dušan Ivković as their head coach and he's willing to pay anything to get Šarić to Turkey. So, if things don't change, we won't be seeing Šarić in the NBA for a few more years.

This is gonna hurt his stock a bit. He will likely be behind in terms of feel for the pros compared to a Vonleh or Smart. He'll still be Top 10 pick, but it looks as Vonleh has officially surpassed Randle on people's big boards.

If true then Saric will be top ten, he along with Payton & Porzingas are rocketing up boards as the draft nears.
