Could you give some (spoiler marked I suppose) examples? Curious about these inconsistencies you are referencing. I find the execution pretty solid, especially considering the balancing act. Particularly the branching out from the character of Piper once the show has settled into the prison. Of course it could have all fallen apart by the second season, but I don't know yet.
Yeah, the only male character that I thought bounced around a lot this past season was Healy, but I think they did a good job of showing that what he was really doing was bouncing back and forth between how he was early in his career (idealistic and compassionate) to where he ended up (beat down by the system, apathetic). He went between those two multiple times, which was weird, but I didn't think it was totally unearned.
Spike Lee's remake of Oldboy is streaming for those, like me, who were curious. Personally thought it was better than expected but no where near the original. What the hell is up with Sharlito Copley in that flick?
Just found and started up the (former) AMC series The Killing. Great television... the star (actress from World War Z) is awesome (wish she was in more things). About 6 episodes in season one.
I'll have to check it out. I always read good reviews about it but never caught an episode. I have been looking for a new show for when I finish re-watching Lost. Has anyone watched Hell on Wheels?
Might catch a little heat but there is this show called "The New Girl" its like a sitcom and i have absolutely fallen in love with it. There are some moments during that show that are about as funny as anything i have ever watched.
My GF was into that show. I'm going to have to find something new with no shows of mine currently on tv. Might give The Last Ship another try. Haven't looked through Netflix lately for shows.
I watched Mud. It was pretty good. I also watched Drinking Buddies. It looks like a 'comedy' but it's more of a, uh...dramedy? I dunno. It's not bad. Wilde gets naked briefly. So there's that. .
Watched Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor last night. Movie had me yelling at the damn TV, but i really enjoyed it.
Did anyone get to watch The Battered Bastards of Baseball? Solid Netflix documentary. Would recommend 10/10
