Just want to say, this album as a whole was garbage. I was pretty pissed that I actually paid for it. I disliked it the first time I listened to it all the way through, but I gave it a couple more chances. That didn't help. The single, Telos, is nothing like any of the other songs on the album. It is by far the heaviest song and is the best all around by far. Some of the songs are so bad that I can only descibe them as annoying. I felt like I was listening to an iwrestledabearonce cover band. Again, all the songs except Telos are pretty bad. I would give BTBAM some credit for trying to be creative, but I expected more than that from a band that has such a strong following. I will not be buying anymore BTBAM albums.

Is the quota of Rockets threads created by LOF and bandwagoners not at the percentage and indecipherable random ramblings not fit for posting (and creating) and if so, what aren't they hitting? I haven't been following this at all. This is crazy. I saw some random post on Facebook a while ago that he was in prison in some foreign country, but I assumed it was for something relatively minor. For R2K, malacu, xero, Daro... (Old School/Power/80s) This guy (rusty cooley, lead guitar) teached me the ways of the guitar (granted he now has a 8 string custom dean) almost 10yrs ago in a guitar shop in the woodlands... Still one of the best shows I've ever seen. They were so raw and different back then. My biggest problem with modern metal is most bands just don't know how to catch a groove, it's just all shred and growl. Pantera knew how to do both. Rip dime bag.
I hadn't listened to metal in awhile but the bands I like are Slayer, Pantera, Sepultura (through Roots), Motorhead, Prong, and Rammstein (which I guess they are metal but more like an industrial metal).
I'm old so I like old-school metal (Priest and Maiden), however, I've recently been listening to Avenged Sevenfold a lot. They've got the Maiden/Sabbath "evil" (but really anti-evil) vibe plus the guitar playing and the drumming are really good. I only listened to the last song you posted... But I have to ask what about that was "metal". The opening had duel leads, the verse has hammered ons and offs.. but the singing and the chorus... Its like rock... And then the effects on the vocals on the bridge on chorus... Its just that its not metal... its like a "pop" rock. Not pissing on your taste, if that is your bag then make it happen. As I am posting this I listen to the song, and the solo is t***. But anyhow, The chorus came back and then... Linkin Park is the first thing that comes to mind and I don't think alot of people consider them real metal. Man, I sound like a dick. But whatever.... You are still my best friend.
