without true super stars, i don't know, man, game one they did not meet any resistance, it will be more telling if Cavs were shooting lights out and Celtics are not hitting shots, and they still win, then i'd say the celtics are truly contenders, otherwise, no, they have no chance against cavs

Could the Celtics be like the Pistons from the middle of last decade?

Elite defense, bunch of very good players but no top 10 overall guy

Lol no Rasheed Wallace was a legit star back then he had more talent than Tim Duncan he just wasn't motivated. But the year they won he was motivated thats why he could go toe to toe with Shaq and Malone.

Even though he was super lazy, Wallace was still the analytics wet dream because he was a legit stretch 4 while being good defensively and on the boards. I don't think there's anybody else since his time who is like that, maybe Draymond and Porzingis but Draymond is a midget and Porzingis got injured.

What do you mean not all that great talent wise?

Horford is an all star and Tatum/Brown are looking like superstars.

I don't respect Sheed because he had Hall of Fame talent without a HOF heart and didn't want the burden and responsibility that came with his talent. His career numbers are a shadow of what they should have been. It seems crazy to say he had more talent than TD but it's true.

For me, watching him flip the switch off and on repeatedly was utter frustration.
