[CBS Sports] Rockets make Asik, Lin available in trade talks

I think the 3rd star the Rockets are trading Asik and Lin to make room for is Josh Smith. Smith has been linked to playing together with Dwight Howard, and they are buddy buddy. Beverley, Harden, Parsons, Smith, and Howard stands toe to toe with the Heat.

 

no way he trades them unless he gets dwight

 

I read this as TMNT the first half-dozen times I read it. Obviously that means we will end up with a Big 4. McHale has always reminded me a bit of Splinter anyway.

No one doubted that Jeremy or any other player was offered in trade talks. Mark Deeks said the Rockets are dumping Jeremy "because the Rockets think Beverley is better". That's the part we don't think is factual.

This new thread here says the Rockets want a starting point guard in return. It means they don't think Beverley is a starting point guard.

So this thread being true doesn't mean Mark Deeks was right.

 

Asik at 8M, although expensive, would make us one of the best defensive teams. I don't think they should trade him unless trading him along with Lin in a package is the only way to deal Lin for a good return.

 

Even tho im a Lin fan it makes me happy to see how excited all of u are. Hope it all works out fine..for both Lin and the Rockets!

 

I like Asik too, but I do not think we can move Lin w/o including him and THAT is only a good idea if D12 is here.

Asik and Lin for Smith.. I think Smith would take less to play on a Contender

Shopping Asik + Lin around and possibly our PFs as well is just to see what is available out there. What we can do.

Josh Smith, Rondo, Iggyy... etc.

 

I don't think Morey will trade Asik and Lin, anyway. I am sure Morey knows that they are important pieces to Rockets playoff run. If we sign Howard, Asik and Howard will get Rockets into NBA Finals, for sure.
