"Rival teams say the Rockets are making Lin available, as well, though they'd have to get a starting point guard in return"

I wonder which teams would want to swap point guards.

We only get strong pieces in return for these two. Especially Asik. If we can't land a Aldrige/Love type player, Omer isn't going anywhere. Just because they are being shopped doesn't mean they are going anywhere. You just have to see what opportunities come along.

My girlfriend is going to be so upset at this news. I don't think I'm going to tell her.

Interesting that Asik is on the block. Lin was already mentioned a few days ago.

Courtney Lee and Rondo makes some sense, but still leaves a big hole at PF.

    Why? Parsons isn't going anywhere.

Not too big a whole...with three stars on the court Jones or D-Mo SHOULD be able to handle such a small load then.

Not sure whether to believe this - how reliable is Berger?

If we don't take mid range J's, and we have Harden and Howard, then the other 3 guys need to be able to shoot. Parsons can shoot. Beverley is a pretty good shooter. Lin improved but he's not a proven 3pt shooter.

As for Asik, I've always maintained we would be silly to keep him if trading him doesn't deter us from getting Howard.

These trades will only happen if we get fair value. Morey's not gonna trade a starting point guard and center for a bag of peanuts.

I expect to get back a star for Omer and a good point guard for lin (or someone that provides similar value)

The only problem is that are these kind of players available? I'm guessing this happens after trading Dwight. I think Lin stays and Omer gets dealt for a starting PF to complement Dwight.

Also it would be hilarious to steal both Rondo AND Dwight away from Mavs...

Solely because of the fact that they're rebuilding.
