Cavs played subpar and injured teams throughout playoffs as well

Don't get why people aren't talking about how the Cavs played injured teams as well.

    1st Round:
    • 40-42 losing record
    • Scrub players with nobody worth mentioning (Isaiah Thomas maybe who came off the bench)

    2nd Round:
    • Injured Pau Gasol
    • Injured Derrick Rose

    3rd Round:
    • Injured DeMarre Carroll
    • Injured Kyle Korver
    • Injured Al Horford (finger) who was also ejected in game 3

Par for the course when it comes to the East. Also, It helps that the Cavs suffered some significant injuries themselves while the Warriors have had otherworldly luck when it comes to health.

The thread title suggests that the Cavs injured their opponents which is true (Dellavedova). Everyone knows the East is full of subpar opponents.

..because even though they have the King, they aren't NBA royalty. Warriors are.

GSW played without David Lee and Mo Speights through some stretches of the playoffs.

Um, maybe because Love is injured for the Cavs?

One can't really bring up an argument of "the Cavs are lucky that they caught teams at a bad time" when they have their own significant injury.

And like shasta said, Warriors haven't had one significant injury this entire postseason, unless you count Speights as a significant player. And Thompson also got rekt by Lord Threeza's knee, but the series was most likely over by that point. And Thompson had a full week to clear concussion protocols.

I'll give you Speights, but Lee has been healthy (and totally irrelevant to this Warriors team). And still, when Ezeli stepped up did they even miss Speights?

But of course, us Rockets fans in particular should embrace the "you play the team on your schedule" argument...

Cavs played better than others with the injured players. GS is only team with every healthy players this year, but GS is just a deep team too.

The Cavs also were missing Kevin Love after the first 3 1/2 games of the playoffs. I won't count JR Smith missing the first 2 games of the Bulls series since that was self-inflicted.

The Warriors' situation cannot be compared to the Cavs or anyone else. Every single team they faced had key guys either banged up or out altogether. And while it's not fair to play "what if?", I can't help but wonder if they knock off the Grizzlies had Conley and Allen been healthy that entire series. Shoot, even the Rockets may have given them a run had Josh not collided with Dwight in the first quarter of Game 1. That injury impacted the team the rest of Game 1 and most of Game 2. I think we at least come out of there with a split if that never happens.

This is comparable only if the Warriors lost Draymond during the first round and had a hobbled Thompson since the 2nd round.

Hobbled Kyrie and an injured Love. Let's not forget Varejao was out for the season as well.

This is probably the most injured playoffs I can remember

Every team has either came in with some major pieces or have their good players injured. except for Golden State

The Warriors by far are the LUCKIEST team I've ever seen. Now Kyrie is out. What a joke.

Don't forget the Bulls basically quit on Thibs and no Thabo for Atl either as a result of excessive police force, which broke his leg.
