Here you go, Andrew. All you need to know about your new hometown: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ysmLA5TqbIY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It's a 2 year guaranteed contract, no team option. How he hasn't signed this is beyond my comprehension.
I have no qualms with Bynum as a healthy basketball player and I understand the need for a center. But Thompson can guard most centers in the league with his wingspan. They played Zeller there last season, too. This just reeks of their management having no plan.
No, it reeks of them understanding how players aren't lining up to play in cleveland. Period. Small market teams in bad weather locations have to overpay to get talent, and let's be real, LeBron was not going back to Cleveland again. And that big man depth you referenced, allows them to make this short term gamble, which could pay off big time. Not saying Bynum pays off, but it's the kind of gamble teams like Cleveland need to take to contend.
Safe move for the Cavs, but if that heffer comes in out of shape, they have already lost a season of his services. 12 million a year seems high for a guy that didn't play last season. Plus, his psychological well being should be questioned after he was spotted rocking that perm/comb-over for half of the season. Something wasn't right... I thought I read that he would refuse to work out for any teams interested in him. That suggests he isn't fully healed, or that he is out of shape. I think he is going to have a short career, with injuries out the A. Some big men are just not meant to last in the NBA. Our great Yao had all the mental toughness and motivation in the world, yet, his body could not support his frame. That was painful as a fan every year to know that, at any moment, the season could be lost due to a stress fracture or a strained back (Tmac). I'm sure Cleveland wishes they could do a one year contract, but Andrew needs stability.
50/50 on whether there is a no bowling clause. In all seriousness I hope that the Cavs have a nice season. I could see them as an 8th. There are banks in every city and Andrew shows this.
Dang. Irving-Waiters-LeBron-Bennett-Bynum is a good starting lineup. Waiters improves his shooting and that's a deadly lineup.

Heat, Bulls, Nets, Knicks, Pacers are really the only locks to make the playoffs in my opinion. Raptors, Pistons, Cavaliers, Wizards and maybe the Hawks/Bucks depending on how they finish out their rosters, fall into that category of teams that could/should fight for those last spots in the playoffs. The east is going to be historically bad this season.
Not really, it's the kind of gamble the Cavs FO is taking in order to keep their jobs. The Cavs FO is one of the worst I've seen, the Cavs org has been extremely lucky in the draft but the FO has been taking short-sighted moves so that they won't get fired. Even the drafting of Anthony Bennett seemed like a short-sighted move, an NBA ready player who was pegged as low as top 8 in draft express over Noels who was currently injured.
