From all appearances it should be a fully open QB competition, he's got his chance, but IMO it's going to be an uphill battle unless Fitz does very poorly or he really impresses.
Since when is coming in 7th nearly winning? I agree he deserves a chance along with all the rest of them.
The hill is more like a mound...Fitz will not be impossible to pass up for Keenum. That being said, we all know what AJohnson has verbalized...this team is gonna be #$%@# under center. Relying on "higher velocity pick 6gerald" or "Case cant see blitz-um" just is gonna be bad. At least Keenum has a bit more hope. note: Fitzgerald reminds me of one Jeremy Lin(has his moments, but makes dumb basketball decisions in crucial moments of the game...)
This is so sad...its now happening in practice sessions against your own team...thinking his arm speed probably slower than last year...I feel bad for Schaub; he is gonna get crucified in Oakland..
In an interview ole Matt said he will have freedom. Lol I guess he means freedom to throw interceptions at will.
so what you are telling me is that Kubiak protected him from having a season worse than last season??... lol
Same here, I would mean he's greatly improved and is better than Fitz which could only be good for the team.
Case wasn't even invited to go to New York. The 5 finalists at the presentation were RG3, Luck, Montee Ball, Tyrann Mathieu, and Trent Richardson. Here's the final voting. http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/24156338/33791137
He was until his team self destructed in the conference USA title game. He went from a top candidate to a non-invite. Interesting.
Even if they won that game, I doubt he would have been invited. Case's signature game that year was a come from behind win against Louisiana Tech. Not nearly comparable to RG3's win over Oklahoma.
I had a scary dream last night that we locked Case into a multi-year extension.... Matt Maloney type numbers!
