Keenum fans, don't forget to buy your season tickets for his alma mater. http://ev6.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncomm...iversity of houston &__utmv=-&__utmk=52540843
Or, maybe Houston already made their offer... and it was just a 3+ 4, or a future 2+ 4. Perhaps Houston valued the 33rd pick enough to not include in any trade, thus Seattle went with the better offer.
I see your point, however, of there is to truly be competition at every position, then the best player should play. If case wins the starting job this year, he'll have to earn it again next year. The philosophy I hear out of Bo'B is that nothing is given. Everything is earned. Hopefully that rings true.
Pick your poison. I do n't like Fitzpatrick or Keenum but at least Keenum is young and can improve. You know what your getting with Fitzpatrick and thats not much.

the old and new gods want case to get a fair shot to compete for the job, that's why fitz threw the pick six.=) cases problems like every rook and veteran was that when the blitz got to him, he rushed it. Case also caused 7 of the 19 sacks on him by david carring the play. I think he will make the adjustment to rid the ball instead of the 1 yard loss. 9 tds 6 ints for a quarterback in his first year starting used to give a lot of hope to fans, not anymore in the 'garmification' era, as i'm stealing that phrase from our glorious poster in the baseball forum. Besides, With a good defense, Case would have posted an 5-3/4-4 record in his games. May the best qb win the job.
I really like that it seems like BOB is actually leaving it a completely open spot able to be won by anyone.
Also, if you want reason for optimism, Vegas has the Texans favored in 8 of their 16 games and a "pick em" in 3 more this season despite their 2-14 record last season. Clearly Vegas thinks that the Texans could be a fringe playoff team.
Yup, that's the line last I checked, but they individually have them favored in 8 games. I'd bet the over.
