To be fair, every team believed they had better options than him when they passed on Case in the draft. And at least the Texans saw enough to give him a chance. It also took Bridgewater and Bradford injuries for him to start for the Vikings. He's made the most of this opportunity so good for him.

Case is one of the most humble and caring individuals out there.

As a UH alum (or anybody else) how can you not pull for this guy.

The kid wasn't highly recruited nor was he drafted and here he is living the dream.

This. Only the Texans gave him even an opportunity to be on a roster...and then start 8 games his rookie year. I'm absolutely happy for him. It's a fantastic story. He's not here now without the opportunity the Texans gave him. Sometimes a system and a player just don't match.

not to get on this old argument again but Case was perfect for the kubiak system. but it was too soon to expect much other than improvement from a player making his first starts with so many injuries on that 2013 squad, especially to the running game that makes that system go, plus no safety blankets for oncoming blitzes.

Even then, the stats put up by case were comparable to any rookie making his debut. It's just so happens that post 2009 with the twitter age, everyone expects young qbs to get it right away. The system matters.
So the name of that play is "seventh heaven" how fitting.

with the uggs system that o'brian had in mind, there is only one fit and he was and still is in New england. I still believe 2002 Tom brady can't run that 'system'. The qb has to be able to grow.

Yeah, I don't begrudge the Texans for letting Case go. I give them tons of props for giving him a chance at an NFL career when no one else would.

Case is a great story and at his best a competent Brad Johnson-ish QB.

I don't fault anyone for doubting him. He's the shortest QB in the nfl since Doug freaking Flutie and played in a pew-pew college offense known for creating routine NFL washouts.

Edit: I don't begrudge the Texans, but I do think this is more evidence of BOB being an overrated QB doofus.

BOB the so called QB whisperer....but wait he's probably going to get an extension...we could've had a viable backup but BOB decided that some other QBs were better

Brad Johnson?? Nah, brah. You’re off like a MoFo. Re-calibrate and try again. He’s in the mold of Favre, Brees and Romo.

Extremely happy to be wrong. However, my prediction that you would remain a childish r****d 8 years later appears to be spot on.

I've hugged Case Keenum. I will eat my hat if he is over 5'10".

Making up fake news and making fun of mentally handicap people is uncalled for. Grow up. Some things never change with you.

What is it about Keenum that makes so many people lose all sense of perspective? The social media, in general, will not give him any credit for the NO win or the 13-3 season. If he is not that good, how does he do so well? Go back to his numbers with the Texans where he was running for his life; they really were pretty good, especially his second tenure. He never gets credit for anything. Why?
