It doesn't matter who runs. Next election cycle, precisely the same thing will happen again - a Republican and a Democrat, both very similar in the things they choose not to discuss, will run. One of them will win. They'll both be bought and paid for. Nothing will change.

He's your boy, flavor of the month. You post his incredibly intelligent positions. I tend to actually follow issues so I'm pretty up on his tea party crazy positions. Thanks.

    On Civil Rights

Disallow Ku Klux Klan from participating in Adopt-A-Highway

The Declaration of Independence states that "all men are created equal." Ted Cruz has worked to ensure that groups that spout hatred and bigotry are not provided privileges that encourage their venomous beliefs.
Cruz authored a US Supreme Court amicus brief on behalf of 10 states in Rahn v. Robb, urging the Supreme Court to grant certiorari and reverse a decision of the Eight Circuit allowing the Ku Klux Klan to participate in Kansas's "Adopt-A-Highway" program.

Gay partner benefits a states right issue

On deciding whether gay partners have legal benefits given spouses which might include property inheritance or making medical decisions. Cruz says states should decide those benefits.

eBay can figure it out. It's an overblown smokescreen and protecting an unfair market advantage.

    Ted Cruz on Crime

World Court should have no say in Texas executions

Ted Cruz argued and won a US Supreme Court case against 90 nations to guarantee the right for Texas and the US to carry out justice for a brutal murderer and rapist, without being subject to the laws of the World Court.

Ted successfully represented Texas in Medellin v. Texas [a capital case which resulted in the 2008 execution of Jos‚ Ernesto Medell¡n], which upheld US sovereignty and held that the World Court cannot bind the US justice system.

Fully monitor sexual predators & bring them to justice

As Solicitor General, Ted Cruz played an essential role in helping crack down on the growing scourge of sexual predators. He defended the primary state law at the Texas Supreme Court that ensures sexual predators will be fully monitored and brought to justice.

Cruz successfully defended the constitutionality of Texas Sexually Violent Predator Civil Commitment law before the Texas Supreme Court, allowing the state to fully monitor predators determined to threaten children.

    Ted Cruz on Education

Education decisions best made at local level

The Senate Conservatives Fund has developed a questionnaire that we require candidates to complete before we consider an endorsement. A candidate's answers to these questions will reveal whether they consistently apply conservative principles to their positions on important issues.

Do you believe education decisions are best made at the local level, and will you support efforts to allow states to opt out of the No Child Left Behind law?
    [The SCF endorsed Cruz].

What about my neighbor who sells her blown glass items all over the country?

Will eBay pay for her accountants and lawyers to figure out this mess.

This bill barely affects those large interenet retail chains but mainly makes a mess for small business where 2/3rds of new job growth comes from.

Ted Cruz on Energy & Oil

Fight against Gulf moratorium on offshore exploration

Ted Cruz helped lead the fight against President Obama's Moratorium on Offshore Drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.
Ted authored an amicus brief on behalf of the US Chamber of Commerce, and a diverse coalition of 29 Gulf Coast chambers of commerce and industry groups in Hornbeck Offshore Services v. Salazar, in opposition to the Obama Interior Department's moratorium on offshore exploration in the Gulf of Mexico. One week later, the Fifth Circuit agreed, and ruled against the moratorium.

Signed the No Climate Tax Pledge by AFP.

Cruz signed the No Climate Tax Pledge
No Climate Tax Pledge: "I pledge to the taxpayers of my state, and to the American people, that I will oppose any legislation relating to climate change that includes a net increase in government revenue."
Sponsoring organizations: Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEU); National Taxpayers Union (NTU); Institute for Liberty Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is a nationwide organization of citizen-leaders committed to advancing every individual's right to economic freedom and opportunity. Cap-and-trade has no impact on global temperatures.

Cruz signed the Contract From America
The Contract from America, clause 2. Reject Cap & Trade:
Stop costly new regulations that would increase unemployment, raise consumer prices, and weaken the nation's global competitiveness with virtually no impact on global temperatures.

eBay will offer that service just as it does all kinds of other services for sellers. eBay is against this law because their total sales will go down.

Independent storefront websites won't be figuring this out on their own, services will pop up overnight. Also, screw ebay.

Carville married a Republican and probably enjoys electoral handicapping as much as he values his political philosophy. Had he had fewer electoral successes or preferred administrative work like Gergen he might have worked for some Republicans; had he ruined his life and career like Morris in '96 he might have turned tail and "exposed" his former clients for TheHill columns or Fox News airtime. He feels as strongly about predicting elections as he does about winning ones; he's rich, accomplished and credible enough that he can focus more on the former nowadays than the latter. Can't stand these verkakte electoral or ideological counterinsurgency or "trolling" theories, like the ones claiming that Coulter is a closet liberal.

Wrong Cruz did engage in them with his load of BS about Hagel and N. Korea. That was personal attacks that were unfounded.

I never understand the right wing philosophy of states determining rights/regulations such as gay marriage. We do not live in the 1800s where a family would more than likely stay in one state their entire lives. How frustrating it must be for gay couples to be considered married in one state but loose their job and have to selectively search for jobs in states that allow similar benefits. Same thing applies for gun regulation. I live in the Northeast and most people up here travel to different states weekly. I would assume it must be frustrating for gun owners to travel to different states.

During the NRA convention, Cruz was patting himself on the back during his speech about how he filibustered the Background Check Bill, a Bill that passed the House and has the overwhelming support of the American people. In that same speech, just a few minutes earlier, he criticized Harry Reid for filibustering a Bill he sponsored that had less votes than the Background Check Bill in the Senate.

That's who Ted Cruz is, just another typical "speaking out of both sides of his mouth" Republican.

Look up "three questions by Cruz" to understand why...his stance as well as mine is you don't attack the people who are law abiding thru bill of rights infringement. You solve preventable root problems by attacking criminals and the three questions is based on fact that the Obama administration has failed to do...

    http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1Zzu2FSxdc

And of course he will filibuster any inch of infringement. Even universal background checks because he knows it won't stop there. And if the goal is to really save lives, really...then you answer the three questions with easily attainable action.

This is like saying you fix a roach infestation by using the heel of your shoe.

You solve nothing. You prevent nothing.

Non sequitur. Fear has nothing to do with it.

    It's about solving problems. Correct?
