His father was not a US citizen when he was born.

Actually it isn't quite that simple. "Natural Born" isn't exactly defined and as Air Langhi notes all US Presidents since colonial times are US citizens not just because parentage but because they were born on US territory. At the risk of giving ammo to Birthers if it was just parentage there would be no issue with where Obama was born since his mother was a US citizen.

That said I doubt Cruz's citizenship will be an issue.

Unwise turn of phrase from the most talented and experienced Hispanic administrator in American history, but your headline and bolded emphasis is wrong.

People who win elections or successfully serve at every level of the state and federal government, as Carville and Richardson have. Your Youtube link is dishonestly framed.

Well we need our own minority candidate, this Obama "thing" really has shown it... We need someone not a white male to trot out there...

Sarah Palin? Well that was interesting
Michael Steele? Well that was a disaster as RNC chairman
    Herman Cain? Damn it
    Bobby Jindal? Ugh
Marco Rubio? Lied about Cuban exile immigrant background
Dr. Ben Carson? Ugh stupid gays mucking it up

    Hmm who now???

Ted Cruz, he is a monster politician, future president! We will show the dems!

It's funny to see the vitriol from the left aimed at this guy. It's pretty obvious he is doing a good job, if he can get under their skin so well. Have a great week everybody.

Do you think Obama is doing a good job since he gets under the skin of the right so much?

If Ted Cruz is the republican savior, I'm happy with that.

This guy has no chance at all. He is much to far on the right. If the republican party wants to have a chance they have to pick someone who is more of a moderate.

Given the large Hispanic population his complete anti immigration policy is going to be a problem. His gun position might be looked down by a large segment of the population.

Also his Chinese dealing etc. will be used to attack him.

Your idea of a good job is annoying other people?

If Obama counts as African American, then Ted Cruz counts as Hispanic.

How about the time where Ted Cruz implied that Hagel got money from North Korea, you know, because Ted didn't know if it was true or not? This guy is a grade a sh!thead. He engages in the the worst kind of lawyer speak I have ever heard. His exchange with Feinstein about the 2nd amendment was cringe-worthy, especially as the mouth breathers started cheering it on.

This guy's poor reputation is well earned.

I actually have little doubt Cruz is super smart. Went to Princeton and was a fantastic college debater. That being said, he should stop saying stupid **** if he wants to run.

What typically occurs in politics is the other party tends to speak out more loudly to people they feel most threatened by.

Yes, Republicans feel threatened by Obama. He is a charismatic guy and a good speech giver. They also disagree with his ideology as well, just like Libs disagree with Cruz's too.

I really doubt he is worried about what people think about his politics.

Guy is an animal and many are still mad from when he argued several cases before the Supreme Court and was able to get things done.

The reason everyone talks badly about him behind his back is because most are deathly afraid to debate him.

Are they afraid to debate him because he makes up stuff about people or implies things about people that insult their character whether or not he knows anything about them being true like he did to Chuck Hagel?

If that's what you chose to believe then, sure.

He said himself, that he brought it up because for someone to be in the position he was being confirmed for to have accepted money from foreign nationals is very shady. The 200k in question was unaccounted for and Cruz wanted to get an answer for it.

Cruz is unstoppable - this guy needs to be put on a national stage.
