Reports are that she suffered cardiac arrest at the airport and was administered CPR. Unfortunately, it's very rare that someone fully recovers after going into cardiac arrest and is revived by CPR. It takes a lot of time and deprives the brain of oxygen. It's a myth that CPR is very effective at all. I went through something like this with a close friend and that was information I was disappointed to find out. BUT, you never know. If she survives and is stabilized then they might induce hypothermia for about a day and then they'll be able to access brain damage when they warm her up. That's what they did at least for my friend but he didn't have a heart attack. He just went into arrest. The woman is an international icon. UPDATE: If this is true then she would be way past irreperal brain damage. It starts after a minute and the part of your brain that "makes you who you are" is the first to be damaged. 15 minutes? That's just.... UPDATE 2: Fisher's brother says she is in stable condition. They'll likely do a variety of tests to access if there is any brain damage. I've seen a crazy hat they put on with all of these wires coming out the top that tracks your brain waves. Technology is insane.
May the force be with her One of my earliest crushes. It's a damn shame that it took so long to get the band back together for Star Wars sequels.
It's hard to wach A New Hope and not fall in love. Truly the best princess role in movie history and so much more after that.
She apparently had a professional strength coke habit back in the day. That'll catch up with you eventually. Hope she pulls through.
That along with with doing CPR on the plane for an unknown time without access to push drugs in her is not a good sign.
15 minutes? There's too much neurological damage. Heart is still beating but everything else is shot. 2016 has been a terrible year. Hope she pulls through even though the odds are against her.
Dang, the family is watching force awakens and literally pulled this thread up as she comes on screen. Terrible.
