NBA Rumors: Miami Heat players prefer Caron Butler over Danny Granger? By Bryan Rose - Feb 25th, 2014 The Miami Heat were rumored to be interested in acquiring a player out of the free agency pool once the NBA’s trade passed. One such player they’re reportedly interested in is Danny Granger, who could potentially be bought out by the Philadelphia 76ers who acquired him last week from the Indiana Pacers. Another player they’re expected to show interest in is Milwaukee Bucks forward Caron Butler, who like Granger, could very well be bought out. But the Heat don’t need both players – so who would they choose? Well, according to the Miami Herald, it’s Butler who members of the Heat team are wanting. So who would be better for Miami? Heat players would clearly prefer Butler; he and Dwyane Wade are close from their days as Heat teammates, and Granger irritated the Heat’s stars by getting in their faces after fouls in the 2012 playoffs.
