Why not? If I had billions of dollars like Dolan I would do this.

Melo getting rattled pretty much costed the Knicks the game so why wouldn't he take measures to prevent something from happening again?

What are they going to do when they get audio of KG telling Melo he screwed his wife? Sue him for trash talking? Melo is just letting everybody know that stuff like that gets to him, and giving people more reason to do it.

I don't think it gives people more reason to do it. If people were going to do it, they would've done it regardless. Atleast this serves at some element of deterrant. Money is a motivator and suspensions means loss of pay. Yes, I believe you could get suspended by the NBA if there is PROOF. The reason nothing happened is because everything was hear-say and ref's didn't catch it.

It's like putting cameras to make sure two unleashed chihuhuas don't go at it.
    Just chain the mothefurker.

Btw, I will pay top dollar to watch a game fully mic'ed up.

I can see the motivation. Just me, but if i knew the antagonizing comments were being recorded & would be made public, I'd be less likely to lose my cool.

Not that there would be any real consequences for the offender or anything.

This is stupid. This is the NBA, a league of men. If he can't handle it, then he should just keep his mouth shut. What, they going to start suing players that hurt Melo's feelings?

Why are people assuming this is done to protect Melo and not to police him?

They should let Melo beat the hell out of Garnett. Or let anyone beat the crap out of Garnett for that matter. Garnett only trash talks on the court because he knows nobody can do anything without getting suspended. Same goes for half the "bad boys" in this league. They only talk because nobody is going to retaliate.

KG is awesome for getting this deep into Melo's head (not to mention getting deep into Melo's wife). This solidifies his place as one of the best trash-talkers of all time.

    Boo ****in hoo.

Melo is a headcase. Opponents will always try to get in his head. Maybe he needs to grow up?

In any case, at least we will get confirmation from other players and will know if she tastes like Cheerios or Cheetos.

Vegas rules, what happens on the court, stays on the court. Garnett isn't trying to be a tough guy, he's trying to get in the heads of his opponents.

Would you say the same when Zach Randolph talks trash?

Something tells me Dolan just wants to be able to sit there in his boxers, grab some popcorn, and watch basketball games that are completely uncensored. If I was a bajillionaire, I'd probably do the same thing.

THIS. There is definitely a market for this as people would love to hear everything going on out there. Unfortunately, it's never going to happen.

The point of trash talking isn't to start a fight
