Yeah by all in, you mean all of their valuable assets in Kwame Brown... Giving up Bynum on that stacked team is hardly all in
Only if you've been under a rock since before the season started. Everyone has known that he accept a trade to us but he won't sign an extension
i really hope someone **** blocks this offer! sh!ts not fair, basket ball is becoming very boring with these super teams!!!! plzzzzzzz lawd dont let this happen
I'm calling a bluff here, no way Denver takes Bynum and Odom for Melo. Also, why would the Lakers do this? They need bench scoring and would lose their best bench scorer in Odom. Matt Barnes and Artest aren't scorers, and you can't put Melo on the bench. It would only work if they sent Artest somewhere for a bench player. I can't see Kobe sharing the ball with Melo and Gasol, Melo needs the ball in his hands to be effective, and Kobe still struggles with letting Gasol take shots. Plus, how would a frontcourt of Gasol and Melo fare? Pretty damn weak. I can't see that frontcourt beating the Celtics or the Spurs. 0.5% chance this happens.
a injured player??? i call bullsh!t! they want ny york to panic a give more assets! if i does happen can we swoop in an snatch nene?
Not really, because last year we had the potential of having Yao be healthy all season, so Melo would've found that proposition to be enticing. Now all we have are a bunch of good, not great players, and no big man and no D. I highly doubt we're still in his mind as a destination
[wishful thinking] Maybe he would be willing to come if he brought a big man friend(Nene, Birdman) with him? [/wishful thinking]
Would have to think this is a ploy by the Nuggets to get a better offer from the NYK. Bynum for Melo straight up is such an assraping by the Lakers that it is only rivaled by what they did to the Grizzlies a couple of seasons ago. As others have said, if the LAL get Melo and all they had to give up is the injury prone Bynum, I'm done with the NBA.
That's probably not a big concern for the Lakers. You could manage the minutes of Melo and Kobe to where there is one on the court for most of the time and I suspect Melo's scoring would more than make up from what you lost from your bench scorers.
Well it sure works for Soccer and Baseball, people don't really mind seeing stacked teams. Although the Lakers would be far from stacked. They would have one valuable big man left and would be all offense mainly. Watching Melo and Kobe would be fun to watch if you'd ask me. Doesn't look like its going to happen though.
