Yes. Because you have to be in the same city as your business opportunities.

only a matter of time until he starts complaining about not being able to compete for championship. can't wait til that happens since he decided this himself.

If he's being honest then he's just a lazy SOB that wants things to be (continually) handed to him. LeBron, Dwight, etc. have all moved to other cities and have been successful in having their own brand follow with them everywhere they go.

If he's being dishonest about why he stayed then all I read was "The Knicks will be paying me more money. End of story"

    Dude just aint about winning.

He never was. If he were he could of gone to Chicago which us just hours away from NYC.

He just wants to score alot of points.

He doesn't want to admit that his wife is making all the decisions in the house.

Agree he's not about winning. Which is fine, except for the fact that he insisted he was about winning. Whatever. I'm sure he be more than happy staying in Ny. I think Chicago would have been a mistake - look at the corpse of Derrick Rose. I think his best days are behind him.

He means his plastic wife and her dumb tv show/stupid movies no one wants to see.

Melo can get the same big deals in any major city.

Harden was traded to Houston for business reasons, certainly wasn't for basketball reasons.

The day he forced Denver to trade him to NY, I knew he wasn't about winning. The Knicks were a worse team than the Nuggets, not to mention they had to give up assets to get him.

You have to remember, this is the east. They had homecourt without Rose.

If Thibs gets him to play defense, who knows what could've happened.

Me-lo does not care about championships. He wants people to think that he cares about championships.

    He is all about himself.

It is not too far fetched to believe that some players want to win and be great. But want fame and money even more, and as long as he is semi competitive he will take that.
