Wow, this story is not being picked up by Fox news, or even the "main stream liberal media."

Liddy is a complete scumbag. I can't believe that anyone would put him on air after his acts against this nation. But to show up as a guest and say you're "proud" of him?

That account of McCain really surprises me.

All is fair in love and war. Obama's followers want to get the Mccains negative associates out and that is more than fair. It is obvious he is not without fault but let us compare the two associates and see how serious and how many they are. It's a little mindblowing the characters that had the most influence in guiding Barack Obama's most important choices of his life.

When he was a young teenager and he felt a little lost with no black role models he turned to Frank Marshall Davis whom the House Un-American Activities Committee labeled as being involved in in several Communist front organizations. It was Frank as written by Obama himself in his memoirs who told him to never trust a white man and he should move to Chicago.

When in college his only real talk of friends was Siddiqi who he called Sadik and described as, “a short, well-built Pakistani” who smoked mar1juana, snorted cocaine and liked to party".

When He got married he asked his mentor Jeremiah Wright to marry him.

When he started his Political career William Ayers hosted the meeting in his Living room.

When he bought his million dollar home Tony Rezko made it possible by buying the lot next door at the very same time overpaying for the property while Barack underpaid for the house.

And when he wanted help to run for President he donated $800,000 bucks to ACORN to help him.

So compare all you want about the past ties. It is obvious in the most crucial decisions in Baracks life he has either chosen unwisely or with an extreme leftist ideology.

Good point Old Man Rock. I have spoken about what I like about Obama regarding his style, but at the same time, the multiple big-time name recognition of these associates (for the wrong reasons) alarms me...

If it was just one or two shady associates, it would be dismissed by me, but there is several shady characters of association.

You are going to use findings McCarthy's House Un-American activities label against someone?

That is hilarious. To be labeled a communist by that witch hunt is a badge of honor. I can't believe you'd come on this board in this day and age and defend McCarthyism as having value and defaming a man because of it.

Yes looking at the list of contacts McCain's is far worse than Obamas.

He Liddy, his membership on the board labeled as anti-Semtic by the ADL. His membership on the board involved in Iran-Contra, his own Ayers connection, his connection to the AIP, etc. McCain has more direct connections and at least as many.

Moreover, did Obama ever say anything like this to any of his "associates":

"Well, you know, I'm proud of you. I'm proud of your family. I'm proud to know your son, Tom, who's a great and wonderful guy. And it's always a pleasure for me to come on your program, Gordon. And congratulations on your continued success and adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great."

You can have an occupational relationship with someone, while also strongly disagreeing with that person's political viewpoints. You could even belong to a Church where you disagree strongly with some of the views of the pastor. But McCain outright congratulates this nutjob on his "principles and philosophies that keep our nation great." There's no way to defend that.

FB, I disregard the McCarthy thing as well, but you have the name recognition of shady folks being Ayers, Rezko, Wright as more pertinent.

It does cause alarm, and has more weight to me. We might disagree but the basis of those you associate with and what these associates have done is a greater negative reflection on Obama.

In the end, it might mean Obama hung out with shady people...big deal/pure coincidence...I still see it as a bad reflection.

Of course, we are more concerned about our economy and the decisions that will impact us in the future, right?

We'll disagree FB, but I wouldn't be concerned as long as Obama refrains from association with these 3 names in the future.

I disagree with true Mcarthyism 100% as well. But let it be clear that though there were many persecuted unjustly there were also real communist in America who had russia's agenda on their minds and wanted to destroy this country and were not excused in my book. As a second point I don't know if Davis was hard core communist but I also could care less about some old communist talking to Barack when he was young. But it is Barack by his own admission says the guy told him, Davis gave Obama advice to “never quite fully trust white people,” and “not to become a race-traitor when he goes to college.” And Obama again in his own words said, “ . . .to avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets . . .”

Now that was the 70's and in those days we all were a little more radical. But where is he at now? Well if you go by his associates you might think Barack is a little more than middle of the road. And when you see his tax plan and how he originally wanted it to increase taxes on anyone making more than $100,000 and then adjusted it because he wanted to get elected. Also one of the few pieces of legislature that he fully endorsed was the "Global Poverty Act" designed to send hundreds of billions of dollars of U.S. foreign aid to the rest of the world. Funny he is so quick to spend yours and my money but he won't pull a dime out of his pocket to help his very own brother in Africa who is barely surviving on a dollar a month. Now I am all for helping others too but come on America has it's own problems to deal with. And just yesterday in Ohio he said we have to share the wealth and redistribute it. That is socialism. If you want America to turn to a socialistic country vote for the modern Robinhood of America. Personally I think he is the Chicago prince of thieves who only cares about getting elected for his own Agenda.

Wait. So it's ok to be proud of a terrorist. But it's not ok to be coincidentally on the same board as one that you have denounced?

    The hypocrisy is overwhelming.
