agreed. It is super encouraging when all the skill plays flash their abilities. Braxton looked great as did Fuller, even with the drop. And we've only seen a glimpse of Lamar...with all those cylinders going this will be a very fun team to watch.
Looking strong. Love to see them spread the ball around too, this is the "matchup offense" O'Brien first spoke about 2+ seasons ago. Osweiler looks really strong too, even though he sidearms it a little bit he throws it strong and true. They're really going to put it on some defenses this year!
That was probably the most explosive an offense has looked in our system since 2011-12 season with Schauby. And I would venture to say we are 10x more dynamic then that team. I am surprised we haven't seen more deep shots to Braxton Miller. My assumption is that we will destroy single high safety looks all year since Fuller is going to get bracketed all year.
My advanced analytics suggest that our center #65 was hanging out with Brock all day when they were on the sidelines. #65 look o.k. there was one play where the defender came unblock to land a shot on brock, but it looked like the running back missed the assignment.
I am excited to see Merciless. He came on strong last year, and has showed up on film every preseason game. Texans can survive without Watt defensively.
Our 1st team looked very explosive. The running game is my only concern. The offensive line just couldn't get and push or open up any holes for Lamar.
at least 9 0r 10? of the 23 attempts coming from shotgun formation. It's just not a formation conducive for running the ball. I'd rather have an empty backfield. It even gives Adrian peterson problems running the ball from it.

In a regular season game, the opponent defense would make changes to stop the pass which should open up the running lanes. FWIW the Texans offense lit up a very good defensive team for 31 points in the first half. Going forward opposing defenses game plan against the Texans passing game. I almost feel sorry for them.

Oh to be a fly on the wall in that film room. Respect for Arians although not sure why Still hit Palmer like that and I don't even know if it is legal or not but why chance it. I hate when players do things like that that cost their team points. I know it is tough during a play to holdback but you have to have more discipline than that after such a great play. I also hate when a player is clearly going for a TD on an interception and a defensive guy runs from behind and clips an offensive player that is nowhere close to making a play. Happens more time than not and I thought it almost happened on Simon's run back actually. Just STAY AWAY! Let that player make a play and get in the endzone instead of trying to block from behind. Anyways, back to the Arians film room, Palmer's play along with Stanton looking to the sideline at nobody will have Arians in a not so happy mood. I expect the Cardinals to come out swinging Game 1 as he is going to have them focused and with a full complement of receivers. Glad the Texans looked more prepared than the Cards this game. Has to be a good sign for BOB. Still worried about the Oline though.

Yeah this is such a prick thing that happens. They get butthurt about it and see an opportunity to take a cheap shot. There have been a lot of injuries over the years from that type of thing, most notable Warren Sapp destroying Chad Clifton years ago.
I initially thought it was a cheap shot, but upon further review, when you are a QB and you become a potential tackler, you're gonna get hit. I mean sure, he probably wasn't going to make a play, but what would we be saying about Still if Palmer had managed to get a hand on Simon and trip him up? We'd be wondering why he didn't block him and we'd be saying how he needs to be smarter. That's why I don't really have a problem with it.
he is a texan but no need for making that hit in the preseason. There used to be a time, which ended around 2007, where defenses wouldn't even send blitzes during a pre season game. Now they send a blitz like they're trying to capture france. Things done change.
